remiscs.bsky.social @remiscs.bsky.social · 17/08/2026Fun stuff going on this week! AMD sent over some parts to test in the yellow builds I have been doing for a client. Also, the 99wh batteries arrived so I can get back on track with the two laptop orders I have here. 000
remiscs.bsky.social @remiscs.bsky.social · 24/06/2026Really happy with the cable management in these Sliger S640 builds. Small with little compromises, packing an AMD 9950x and RTX 5090 in a small case is amazing. #AEC #Architecture #Engineering #BIM #Revit #Archicad #Enscape #D5 #Lumion #Twinmotion #Vray #3dsMax 020
remiscs.bsky.social @remiscs.bsky.social · 25/03/2026I have here another empty Remis Computers decal sheet and while I am not sad, I am happy to see another empty one. Thankful to all those who purchase systems from me. It helps feed my family and allows my kids to play hockey 🤪 To many more empty decal sheets this year! 000
remiscs.bsky.social @remiscs.bsky.social · 08/02/2026Saturday night build! Would have been a good night for a stream, maybe sometime this year I will do one. Been a few years actually. I better get the stream PC dialed in, just in case. 001

remiscs.bsky.social @remiscs.bsky.social · 05/12/2025My boys caught some of the LiquidHaus live build this week and asked me when I would start doing them again 🙂 It did bring back good memories. remiscs.bsky.social @remiscs.bsky.social · 03/12/2025As biased as I may be, buying a computer next year will not be cheaper, Ai driven RAM shortages are insane and not projected to end in 2026. remiscs.bsky.social @remiscs.bsky.social · 30/09/2025Shipped out this awesome looking workstation desktop yesterday. I find it interesting that when presented with the pro and cons of liquid vs air cooling, clients are happy to go air cooled if it can still deliver their full CPU performance. Can't beat the reliability of an air cooler. 000
remiscs.bsky.social @remiscs.bsky.social · 06/09/2025Finally got the Plugable Thunderbolt 4 dock (TBT-UDM) set up and running on my personal Samsung Book5 Pro 14". remiscs.bsky.social @remiscs.bsky.social · 26/07/2025The customer was using a good APC UPS unit but the condition of it is unknown (batteries good? Etc). Either way, I wonder if a Tripp Lite ISOBAR surge protector was used ahead of the UPS, would the system be ok? No one will ever know 🤣 000
remiscs.bsky.social @remiscs.bsky.social · 26/07/2025Replaced this motherboard under warranty. It went through a weather event; the building lost power and when power was restored, the system would not boot. No matter, a new motherboard was installed. System was fully stress tested and passed all test. Have you experienced anything like this? 100

remiscs.bsky.social @remiscs.bsky.social · 23/07/2025Laptops have outsold desktops since 2023, but this year, sales are nearly even. It could be coincidence, but I wonder if our desktop pricing is starting to look more appealing to buyers in 2025 compared to laptops. 000
remiscs.bsky.social @remiscs.bsky.social · 23/07/2025Are rising laptop costs pushing more people toward desktops? 🤔 This year we have seen the effects of increased prices and possibly the reason for inventory shortages on affordable units.
