This bill is ridiculous. It took 20 years to implement the star card. How long before all voters have access to the essential ID? A voter ID has to be free, easy, and fast. It’ll take years to implement.

The bottom line is that this cannot become the law of the land until there is a reasonable expectation that everyone has the documents they need. Passports and birth cert won’t work. It took 20 years to implement the star card.

Same here. My wife is naturalized and I make sure she carries her passport card at all times. I don’t have one but getting one this weekend. Not comfortable carrying actual passport all the time.
