End of Chapter 1! (6/?)

Panel 1, Pete avoids eye contact with Jackson, who stares at him quiet delight. Jackson says "Pete." Pete begins to ramble, saying "I know it's a lot to ask, I know we've talked about having kids, but that was always a future thing and this is completely unplanned, and we don't have a lot of savings, and- God, we aren't even married yet, I know you said you'd want to be married first-" Throughout this Jackson repeatedly tries to cut in by saying Pete's name.

Panel 2, giving up on interrupting verbally, Jackson kisses Pete, hands cupping his cheeks.

Panel 3, Pete looks up at Jackson in awe, and Jackson grins down at him, saying "We'll make it work."

Pete and Jackson stand in the middle of their home, embracing. "We're gonna have a kid," Jackson says.

Jackson and Pete stand opposite each other. The room around them is indistinct. “What do you want to do?” Jackson asks. “I don’t know,” Pete replies.

Panel 1, Pete is barely holding back tears. His smile is more of a grimace.

Panel 2, Jackson hugs Pete. Pete is quietly surprised, a tear is finally shed.

Panel 3, Jackson holds Pete close and says “That’s ok. We’ll figure it out.”

Panel 4, Pete returns the embrace, turning his head into Jackson’s neck and gripping the back of his shirt.

This new study has enlightened me to the fact I was one of only 1,972 trans teens in the US to take horomones for gender dysphoria from 2018-2022 (I started in 2017 when I was 15, and I'm still on testosterone to this day)! apnews.com/article/tran...
