I think it’s a great introduction to the league. Plus it takes a lot of time to get jerseys produced and approved. It can take up to 2 yrs to approve a change in the stripe positioning of an MLB sock, so entirely new branding is gonna take time. Give them a little grace.

1) pictures never acurately represent the colour. 2) by the time the official jerseys (with nicknames and logos) are produced, they’ll tweak the colours a bit. Not making excuses, but I do think it’s nice to see a league take a chance on a colour other than red, blue or black.

Also… I don’t think anyone is expecting them to be overly competitive this year. As a season ticket holder, my expectations are very low. All I want is for the young players to get solid ice time, learn the game and for the team to improve throughout the year.

I find this concept of bias weird. Why would Kori step down as full time #pwhl coach for a part-time gig as Team Canada coach? No one asks the male NHL coaches to do this, so why would we ask a woman to? If a team isn’t built around a coach and their systems, it’s not going to do well. Imho.

Ryan removed Spoons from the PP1 net front, which was her bread and butter. To be clear, he refused to have set PP lines at all because he “didn’t have powerplay players.” Yeah, that’s a thing he said. I don’t care if the team sucks this year, as long as they improve over the course of the season.
