refraction @refractionpcsx2.bsky.social · 4hI'm pretty disappointed in how blink sound these days, I loved them from buddha up until (but not including) their self entitled album, then it all kinda went downhill pretty quick. One more time is okay, but the rest is kinda forgettable 010
refraction @refractionpcsx2.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Can confirm I didn't have performance problems all evening, it usually dies after 30 minutes for me 000

refraction @refractionpcsx2.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Happy batday birthman, here's a coupon for new parents. Such a classic! 000
refraction @refractionpcsx2.bsky.social · 17/08/2026So every idk 3-6 months, they release like a new titled version which has new mechanics, and it's like a season in diablo 3 or 4,but you *have* to go through the campaign to get to the endgame we're you grind gear, where in diablo 3 onward you kinda have missions/bounties 020
refraction @refractionpcsx2.bsky.social · 31/07/2026The guy probably has no idea what he's doing but "wanted to help". I find a lot of people think AI is a magic solution for contributing to the things you like, not thinking about the annoyance and pain it can cause. 090
refraction @refractionpcsx2.bsky.social · 30/07/2026That said, I am glad Mamdani is kicking butt and taking names, we need more people like him in the world 000
refraction @refractionpcsx2.bsky.social · 30/07/2026I still feel it's bad that we're celebrating them forcing us to pay a decent tip against these companies will, instead of just paying them appropriately in the first place. 100
refraction @refractionpcsx2.bsky.social · 22/07/2026"it's not gambling, it's surprise mechanics". It's the same energy. 010
refraction @refractionpcsx2.bsky.social · 22/07/2026The barrier for entry on steam is $100, I'm sure there are more hoops to get your games on the consoles, so a lot of them games end up as quickly made indie games or asset flips. There's a ton of great indie games, and I'm sure if Playstation and nintendo had them, their number would be higher too. 010
refraction @refractionpcsx2.bsky.social · 22/07/2026The quality difference between a good few of those 21,000, and most games released on Playstation, Nintendo, etc (ignoring some of the store indie ones like Life of Black Tiger released in the Playstation store), the bar is at quite a different level. 120
refraction @refractionpcsx2.bsky.social · 21/07/2026Honestly dojng the campaign every league is very fatiguing. That's one thing I think was great for diablo 3, is the adventure/bounty mode, so you can just get straight in to smashing stuff without pesky story you've done many times before getting in the way 100
refraction @refractionpcsx2.bsky.social · 06/07/2026I mean he *might* be number 1 in Tic-tac, as he says. Just maybe not the thing he *meant* 000
refraction @refractionpcsx2.bsky.social · 04/07/2026The best bit is after they found the stuff they evidently disagreed with, they carried on playing it, enough to append an edit :D 140
refraction @refractionpcsx2.bsky.social · 01/07/2026It's true, if I get a sequel more often than once every 15 years, I might be overwhelmed! 040
refraction @refractionpcsx2.bsky.social · 30/06/2026They absolutely are, I completely agree, but dull things which are just busy work can be done with AI, then I'm not going to hold it against someone, as long as you check it's right. Saying no outright is like asking people not to use a buzz saw to cut wood when the hand saw works fine. 010
refraction @refractionpcsx2.bsky.social · 30/06/2026Well when I say monotonous, I mean like for generating class templates, stuff like that which is just scaffolding, but is easy to tell if it's actually wrong (but hopefully since all the data should be available, it has a chance). I hate AI, but I (regrettably) don't think it's going to vanish. 100
refraction @refractionpcsx2.bsky.social · 30/06/2026My expectations for this are rock bottom, but a small part of me clings on to the hope they've been using this time to optimise the Unreal codebase, which will be also released for PC users who got abandoned. But this is Bethesda/Virtuos, so we'll get nothing, or a patch that breaks the game. 000
refraction @refractionpcsx2.bsky.social · 30/06/2026Right on, Godot! Light AI use on a couple of lines is fine if it's monotonous or something, but getting an AI to do all the work for you is a waste of everybody’s time. We could do that ourselves if we just wanted to use AI, it's of zero value to anyone. Right there with the reviewers. 110
refraction @refractionpcsx2.bsky.social · 30/06/2026Godot is basically banning all slop PR's. Light AI use is fine, and it should be,but people who just use an agent or vibecode, you're not providing anything of value, nobody needs contributors to do that, we can do that ourselves if we just wanted to do that. 1222
refraction @refractionpcsx2.bsky.social · 24/06/2026"I wrote GTA 6 on a piece of paper, and a code at the bottom. That will be $10 more than digital please." 0303
refraction @refractionpcsx2.bsky.social · 24/06/2026Better look out! Hoyle Casino developer might come after you! 010
refraction @refractionpcsx2.bsky.social · 16/05/2026I would have assumed that was intentional to obfuscate how many packages there were, since they were hidden/secret, you just needed to know if you've collected them all, or a good chunk of them, without knowing the exact number. So yeah I'm not sure I agree that it was wrong. 100

refraction @refractionpcsx2.bsky.social · 13/05/2026Proc Gen can be kind of a trap, but you can go crazy with it, Elite Dangerous I guess is an example of that. If you provide the planets and limit the interaction but give them purpose, it might be alright, but if the player is expected to look for stuff on them (ala starfield) it could a detriment 010
