Do you recall the earliest retail version or boxed version for sale? I couldn’t find anything definitive

@engineersneedart.com - bumped into this interesting Glider 4.0 retail set on Ebay - I don’t remember Glider in retail (I do remember Glider Pro) - what was the earliest version sold in a box? ebay.us/m/VneI7h

Make Christmas ornaments for next year is a popular one here that has lasted into teenage. You can get better part of day out of it - eg go procure oven bake clay & paint from art store, stop for coffee and cookie, then form ornaments, then a coffee while baking, then paint. Then a coffee.

Appreciate the coupon! I am also buying on Amazon which currently top result is the book with a 3/5 star review :-( Amazing work, maybe give a push over there for fans who could right that wrong with a handful of reviews, sucks but meaningful for discovery.

Did any other children of the 1980s think that learning how to make/avoid booby traps were an essential life skill? Playing the new Indiana Jones game and reminded how every great kids movie incorporated them . . . #movies #indianajones

what’s your thought on “as we traditionally understood it”? Do you think he means “can pass the turing test” or “artificial being / consciousness” ?

My hobby is collecting the physicals of all the stuff I pirated as a kid (sorry sorry) - world builder was very hard to find. Silicon Beach overall a pretty interesting company.

How insane is this composition? Somebody should have let that LucasArts team direct or produce a Indy movie.

Welcome Noah - hope to see you post here, recently enjoyed your retro hour podcast. Really remarkable oral history about the moment in time at LucasArts that let creativity and small teams so significantly touch the world.

Meta has determined human content is suboptimal in their efforts to drive endless feed scrolling. Paul Graham called the iphone the “hip flask” of the internet, AI is going to turn it into the crack pipe.

These are fantastic they turned out great. You should throw a few of these up on an etsy store with a sharpee David Fox signature - maybe for charities sake? Anyways loved seeing the process thanks for sharing.

This is a powerful quote “I suppose the "aha!" moment for me came when I saw that most of the people promoting this bad behavior were folks I did not know, who are themselves not even OSR creators! And then I realized: I don't care about any of this.” - sums up need for communities vs public square
