Many of us women of a certain age took their husband’s name upon marriage. I kept my married name after my 30-year marriage ended because I’d had it more than half my life. Plus people don’t mispronounce it.

I recently bought a handgun, something I never in my almost 70 years thought I would do. My son is a manager at a company owned by a retired police detective, and they’ve both been invaluable in teaching me gun safety and making sure I get range time. I hope I never *need* to use it.

Unlike most people, he could easily afford to be evaluated and diagnosed by any psychiatrist who is an expert in adult autism. Instead he diagnosed himself. He’s not autistic, he’s an asshole.
