This model 6.1 is kind of a rushed release from open ai, anthropic made them play their hand on this one, this is like 90 percent of Astra at 1/5th of the price, this should have been 6 sol, it was very dump decision not to do it. open ai is pushing the price and efficiency than just the frontier,

Sorry a bit late on this one, Anthropic is on a update spree to 5.5 series, they announced opus couple of days ago now sonnet 5.5 is also here, on paper it shows some places better than opus but still is more expensive due the fact it consumes more tokens for the same task, cost matches fable 5.1.

OpenAI has released both GPT 6 sol and 6 luna -both of these model push cost per intelligence than just pushing the frontier. -what I mean by that is they have maximised intelligence per parameter so that its less heavy and faster to inference and cheaper to serve.
