Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 13/12/2024I thought Todd motioned to her to go for a speech and she declined if I saw correctly? 120
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 09/12/2024Playing the steamdeck on vacation has been everything and more. GTA 4 on this has been perfect 000
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 02/12/2024Witcher 3 has been good to me so far despite its gameplay gripes it’s been fun as a narrative experience 000
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 01/12/2024Back from the holidays! Hope everyone’s holiday was great, ready to play some games 000
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 28/11/2024The Ed Edd and Eddy game is the one that escaped my childhood, I must get one myself now 000
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 27/11/2024Developing a full roadmap, working with cross-functional teams is a great way to see an intersection of talent come together and unite to make a product. It’s so great on mobile apps, but I can’t even imagine how fun (and incredibly stressful) it is for games. I can’t wait. 000
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 27/11/2024Lighting in games have gotten so good that I feel like I’m getting the vitamin D needed 010
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 26/11/2024Playing Witcher 3 properly means killing everything, looting all there is, then coming back to that spot 5 minutes later because it’s an important quest area 000
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 26/11/2024Started Witcher 3 and it’s been fun so far, some of the game mechanics though don’t hold up at all 000
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 26/11/2024Just followed! Aspiring game producer here, your work is fantastic! 010
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 25/11/2024Again, I just wanted to share my notes in case this helped anyone. As an aspiring producer I think understanding other divisions go along way, and even this goes well into how CDPR went about iterations and the process. Please feel free to watch the original GDC talk here: youtu.be/nAkH86__g0o?...youtu.be10 Key Quest Design Lessons from 'The Witcher 3' and 'Cyberpunk 2077'YouTube video by GDC 2025 000
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 25/11/2024The structure of the narrative pipeline is as such: • Pre-alpha • Alpha • Pre-beta • Beta • Polish • CDPR’s games are about the story and the most important fact in that is that they would always like to take the player on an adventure to their worlds and make it imperative that it feels realistic 100
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 25/11/2024(4/4) ▪ When the process is concluded, the company calls this the ‘first playable’. The goal of the draft stage is to ensure that all the quests are playable which in turn makes the whole game playable. 100
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 25/11/2024(3/4) ▪ The first elements of gameplay are also in this phase as the team wants to make sure the quest is playable. 100
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 25/11/2024(2/3) ▪ Then after the approval, block out locations are then worked on by the level design team. ▪ The quest design team then begins working on the first drafts of the dialogue. This is sketched out not written to get an idea of what the scene is about 100
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 25/11/2024It’s important to note that there are Draft Implementations to do as well: (1/4) o On blockout locations o First draft of the dialogs o First gameplay o Completely playable ▪ When approved the documents are used to produce a base that all the departments can use to be on the same page. 100
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 25/11/2024(2/2) ▪ There are examples of dialogues there, but not too many as dialogues aren’t written in these documents. ▪ The iteration happens with multiple cross-functional teams such as the cinematic design team, the open world team, and writers. 100
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 25/11/2024After this step, there is a: Quest Design Document (QDD). (1/2) o More iterations ▪ Quest design team steps in and begins working on the design, this is something that looks like it’s in between game design and a movie scenario. 100
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 25/11/2024So let’s begin with the “Narrative Pipeline” During the Narrative Pipeline there is a: Story Outline (1/1) o Lots of iterations ▪ This outline can be short, potentially a few pages or less. ▪ Then there is feedback on the outline then it grows from there. 100
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 25/11/2024Per the last thread - I will only be sharing a little bit of my notes, otherwise we’d all be here for God knows how long. 100
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 25/11/2024I really enjoyed sharing part of my notes to everyone here, it helps me as I aspire to be a producer and I hope that it helps one of you guys out! Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 24/11/2024I’ve heard a lot of people say this was a weak year for games? WHERE?? 000

Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 23/11/2024Absolutely! I’d love to share all of them, perhaps I will slow but there’s a lot. Thanks again for the videos super informative and they helped me a bunch 010
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 22/11/2024I agree! It’s definitely very reward working. Producers are amazing people, it’s astonishing how detail-oriented and well executed they need to be in the role 000
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 22/11/2024ALSO PROOF READ YOUR POSTS, so many grammatical mistakes on mine omg 🤦🏽♂️ 110

Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 22/11/2024Responsibilities usually differ between Production cycles (Pre-pro, Production, and Post-pro) I’d be happy to go over all of these production cycles from the video if you’d like but the thread would go on forever. I’ve learned a lot from this videos and @ludiotic.bsky.social is an amazing guy! 110
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 22/11/2024• They bring together the resources, the materials, the requirements under a common goal and help people under technology make games. Producers often bridge the gaps of other sectors being the person to mediate, understand, empathize, and work with many divisions across the board. 100
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 22/11/2024• The Producer’s mission is to ensure the desired product is delivered complete, on time, and to an acceptable quality. • Across game development there are three main phases: Pre-production, production, and post-production. 100
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 22/11/2024I don’t want to post all my notes, mainly because they span over 15-ish pages but I wanted to share something’s that I learned and things that may help other people. So let’s begin, what is a Producer? • Producers don’t create games; they don’t make assets or code. They make games happen. 100
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 22/11/2024It’s been 8 years since I’ve tried to get into the game industry and throughout the years I’ve learned so much things about being a Producer. Amazing free resources for you to learn One of them being @ludiotic.bsky.social’s talk on Production. I want to share my notes with you guys today. 220
Reean @reeanf.bsky.social · 22/11/2024I hope so too! Hoping I can be a Producer and make amazing games to give people the experiences I had growing up 010
