I was looking at packages/appserver in github.com/muni-town/ro..., not sure if it's still in use but it had recent commits.

I really like that the web app is using Svelte, but something that put me off was the non-FOSS license used for some of the core backend parts.

My final picks were @colibri.social (excited for the next release there!), @chatto.run (still working on atproto/bsky auth and integration) and potentially @nerimity.com (excellent feature set and interface, but not that close to atproto)

SkyFeed Hangout (temporary)

I've been testing a few open Discord alternatives (including atproto-native ones) and they are really promising, but not fully there yet! So for now, I decided to instead simply create a temporary bsky group chat for SkyFeed discussion: bsky.app/chat/eCF6sL2 - feel free to join and say hi :)

I would like to set up a community space/chat for SkyFeed, which platforms/protocols would you recommend? the obvious pick here is Discord, but not sure if that really fits the whole "privacy-friendly and decentralized" vibe. I would also consider trying roomy, but not sure how polished it is yet?

Hey everyone, I would like to apologize for the unreliable SkyFeed experience over the past few days. It's part of the not quite yet finished process of migrating feeds to the new infra, and I'm trying my best to get it done and finally have reliable feeds again! (incl. all the personalized ones)

It's mostly about RegEx complexity, the new engine has stricter timeouts and I still have some work to do in caching efficiency of already processed feeds, which results in some feeds with larger regex queries to fail to compute in time. Actively working on ironing these bugs out atm.

Hey, I've been switching a lot of feeds over to the new infra over the past few hours, if you still notice any issues in one of your (or someone elses) skyfeed feeds right NOW, in this moment, please reply here with a link to it. I'll take a look and fix them if needed!

I found the issue, my edge cache (bunny.net) was configured to keep serving old http responses if my servers are down/erroring, but looks like bunny just thought there were having issues all the time, likely due to high latency US<->EU or so. anyways, should finally be fixed now.

Oh yeah for uhhm a few minutes I had the bunny cdn cache not vary by query params, which resulted in everyone getting the same (cached) feed for a few seconds each 😅
