More art adventures today. I got a mixed media grab bag that included some liquid charcoal and sanguine. It’s different from watercolor. Bottom layers get disturbed if you’re trying to layer color.

I ordered a pizza and discovered to my horror that the place I was going to wait at was closed for a private event. I wandered through a hotel next to the pizza place looking for a bar and I found my happy place. Thanks private event!

I’m on my final day of my trip and I finally had a great experience. I went to the art museum to visit my favorite paintings and I finally made use of the members only bar to get the only decent cocktail I have had on this trip.

Local quilt shop had a late night sewing party where you get your own table and access to cutting mats and irons and so forth. I hauled six quilts that needed binding to work on over five hours. I hit the wall halfway through the sixth one and I will finish it later. 🫩

Eight years ago today I got to marry my best friend. Our marriage survived us both working from home for the last six years. It survived losing our precious dogs and breaking in a new set. Looking forward to our next adventures!

Not a friend, but I lost both of my original dogs in 2022. The first one died unexpectedly and the other one battled cancer for over half a year. I was grateful for the time with the second one because I couldn’t let the first one know how much I loved her before she passed. 🫂

Actually they used the original theme for the fiftieth anniversary special and Delia was credited for it. I was crying when I saw her name. I named my pug after her and she was confused why I kept telling her she got credit for the song.

We got Edith’s DNA test back and she’s officially a super mutt.

DNA results saying Edith is 34% poodle, 31% chihuahua, 16% super mutt, 14% Shih Tzu, and 6% Pekingese.
