Favourite’ is today’s 31/07 prompt for repost July. This one comes to mind, a one line exercise that made a whale. So it’s an image out of the process (it doesn’t often work!). I’ve really enjoyed seeing all the wonderful art from a great #artrepostjuly 😎 #artrepostjuly #ink #kleinekunstklasse

A continuous black line curves to form splashing water a the impression of a whale. It’s tail fin out of the water.

News - I'm pleased to say I have had a painting accepted into this year's Williamson Open 2026. On show 24 July to 10 October. This gallery is on the edge of leafy Oxton Village with it's vibrant art community. Great art and a nice cafe (a selection of Georgia O'Keeffe prints right now).

An image I’ve shared elsewhere based on thoughts around Hockney and Rothko, prompted by the Reflecting Pool fiasco. Masking tape and colour blocks. Reflecting Pool!

Two rougher edged blocks of colour bounded by a sharp lined blue outline.

Lola isn’t impressed with the dinosaur interpretation in the local woods (based on footprints found in 1838 in this rock - named from the Greek words, CHIR for hand, and THERIUM for beast i.e. CHEIROTHERIUM).
