Everyone should be taught the story of the Library of Alexandria growing up. Preservation of art, word, media, etc should be more than important - it should be essential.

Creativity is resistance against the horrors of the world. Enabling someone else's creativity? Even more so. Don't lose that spark, don't let someone else lose it.

But then, how *do* you do that? There's no lettering, no panels, no spacing, no visual structure to play around with, no real cadence. The GM/Player relationship makes story beats complex. GMless game? Or would you have the GM take a different role? Oh no. I've stumbled into something interesting.

An extra thought: maybe TTRPG superhero adventures don't really catch on in TTRPG systems because people write them like TTRPG adventures... when they should be writing them like comic books.

Rae @redmagerae.bsky.social · 05/07/2025

With alt text. (Also, HOLY SHIT.)

Final Fantasy Tactics
The Ivalice Chronicles

Nearly 30 years ago, the collapse of Japan's bubble economy engulfed the nation's financial institutions in mountains of bad debt, triggering a wave of corporate bankruptcies, a sudden and extreme rise in unemployment rates, and stagnation of Japanese society as a whole. It was an era when many were robbed of hope, when dreams were measured by their price tag.
Against this historical backdrop, I crafted a story. It was the story of Ramza, a young man who fought tirelessly against the entrenched social class system. It was the story of Delita, who sought to take advantage of this confusion and despair to advance his own social position. It was a story of a peculiar destiny, in which friendship and betrayal intertwine.
And now, in 2025—a time when inequality and division are still deeply rooted in our society-I offer this story once again.
The will to resist is in your hands.
Yasumi Matsumoto - Original Script, Scenario Writer and Editor
