Only two days before I get back to unfinished business from Changelog 1.0 Can I make it past chapter 4 this time? You can influence whether or not I can! Donate to @safeinourworld.org in my stream, to make me change to an unwieldy controller, or prevent progress by other means! See you there!

So, I have this shelf full of controllers that are absolutely designed to be used with my Nintendo Switch and are just the best to play a hard platformer like Celeste, right? And all of my lovely community will make the right choices so that I can beat the game easily... Right??

A magazine style display shelf with purple accent lights. The shelf has 6 levels, each of the levels contains a variety of game console controllers.
The bottom shelf houses an xBox Adaptive controller base and 2 arcade style fight sticks, one with 6 buttons, one with 8.
Next shelf up houses a DJ Hero turntable controller, a Wiimote and Nunchuck combo, and an Nintendo 64 style arcade stick.
The shelf above that has two NES style controllers on the left, then a charging module with 4 Nintendo Switch joycons, a Wii U Pro controller, a GameCube style Wii controller, a Wii Classic controller and a Wii pro controller.
The shelf 3rd from the top houses a Speedlink Competition Pro replica joystick, a 3rd party Sega Mega Drive 6 button controller, a wheel style 3r party xBox controller, an xBox 360 controller, an xBox Elite 2 controller, an Emiu Switch Pad (a controller that allows to replace a module for the button layout on the right), a 3rd party Speedlink SNES controller, a L5 one-handed SNES accessibility controller and 3 SNES controllers.
Second highest shelf houses a Playstation 3 controller, a Playstation Classic controller, three Nintendo 64 controllers, a Hori GameCube style controller for the Nintendo Switch, a 3rd party Nintendo 64 style controller, a Pokken tournament controller and a 3rd party Nintendo Switch pro style controller.
On the top shelf are 3 controllers still in their original boxes, a Quantum FighterPad for the Sega Dreamcase, an evolution motion controller for the Playstation 2 and a TechnoPlus MEGA Joystick for Sega Mega Drive 1/2 and Sega 32X.

Speaking of Changelog 2.0, I have been influenced by my good friend @rhass.rocks and will combine my love and safety of handheld games, with the shenanigans of a Retro Rumble! Join me in a Clash of Classics, on early Sunday Morning!

Soooo. Have you heard of Rhass' event for Changelog 2.0? Well, I'll be running Super Mario Land during the event, and I just lowered my PB to ~14:40, that's tied for #96th place on the any% leaderboard on speedrun.com. Join us! It'll be a show for sure!

A screenshot of the app LiveSplits, showing a table of split times for a speedrun.

Top shows game icon, a jumping figure of Mario from the game, followed by title, "Super Mario Land", speedrun type "Any%", emulator used "(BGB)", and amount of recorded attempts, "521".

Table shows all 12 levels woth their segment improvements, and split time. Times generally improved throughout the run, with 3 gold splits, meaning fastest ever time for the segment. End result is a time of 14min 40sec 150ms.

It might not be a true Game Cube / Game Boy Advance experience, but using a GBA as a controller for a Netplay Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles session feels correct.

Browsing through some pictures today, came across my work from ~18 years ago. Still working today, not my absolute finest work, but pretty good for a Crystal v1 on a PS2 slim. I wish I had more opportunities to do stuff like that today, always enjoyed that kind of work.

Needed to wait for some things to arrive for collection at my local shopping centre, so I went shopping. Couldn’t resist picking up this gem. Truly a test of time today 😉

Apparently there is still time to gain here :) My 9:37 was quickly beaten by a 7:24, just for me to respond with a 6:46... What a fun Saturday this has been so far!

So, I just goofed around and "beat" Cities: Skylines 2 (aka reached Megalopolis) in 9:37... That surely has to count for something, right? Right?!
