Thank you. In December 2020, my dad got Covid from a home health nurse who said Covid wasn't serious. She killed my father. But for the 6 weeks between when he went into the hospital and when he died, the docs & nurses tried everything to save him. I will forever be grateful and never forget.

I took a job 2 years ago based on the way the org was set up. Love my actual job to this day. I have 12 years to retirement. The org is restructuring a lot of roles and a lot of people are leaving or having their positions eliminated. This is stressful! I am not leaving but I don't like uncertainty!

I am at a UU retreat. Earlier today I ran Perils and Princesses #rpg. First time everyone played and first time I ran it. It was so much fun and it is fun to have a game that isn't just kill everything. Very mixed ages and genders in the players. Very positive reviews and we will play again!

Every day I contemplate the fact that we still don't know what causes left-handedness. Ages ago we as a society decided it was totally normal and stopped punishing and ostracizing kids for it. Today the thought of being anti-left-handedness is bonkers to us. This is a post about trans kids.

And now I have both diagnoses. I thought I was prepared for this. But I feel so sad for younger me who was always so confused and yet so successful. And wondering what it will mean. And wondering how to tell my adult autistic children. I dont even know how to process this at all. #AuDHD

I am 55. I was diagnosed as hyper as a child. I recently needed to formalize that dx because I think I need meds due to menopause. While doing that I mentioned that I thought I would have been dx'd with autism were I am child today. So we added that to the neuropathy eval.

I cannot describe how much I loathe open enrollment for health insurance (ours is now for July 1). It feels like gambling with my family's options every year. When you have people with epilepsy, lupus, autism, and more it really shouldn't feel like life and death choices every year. #healthinsurance

I went along with all their plans after gen ed teachers told me "those" kids couldn't understand it and should just watch the movie. When they graduated a few years later I typed up their scripts and gave it to them for a graduation present. That was 19 yrs ago and 1 of the best things ever.

My 1st year as a special education teacher my 10th graders were so appalled by R&J that they rewrote it into a comedy, invited the principal to watch them, and taped it (complete with principal reaction). Those kids hated Romeo and thought the whole premise was ridiculous.
