Moments like this really open my eyes to how the Democratic party leadership has used a kind of "reasonable" rhetoric that isn't reasonable, ethical, or even smart for decades. It's cover for not taking a justice-oriented and human rights position. I was duped for more years than I'd like to admit.

Not an economist, I remember his first term economists saying he'd derail the economy (all prior to the pandemic). Yet little seemed to happen. It makes me wonder why we can't t then get past some of this free market "wisdom" to establish socialist economic policies that benefit society
