having my mother stay with me even for just a few days has been so emotionally and mentally exhausting. today’s example: i am 36 years old and she did not want me attending today’s DND session because there are men in the group. apparently when she’s out here she “needs to know where i am and who

this may be consumerist as fuck of me but i would pay obscene amounts for physical bluray copies of sense8, especially with bonus and behind the scenes footage. it’s a @netflix.com original and lbr i don’t trust them to not remove it at some point and then it becomes lost media.

Reposting with alt text because it's really good stuff

Three extremely grumpy looking fluffy black and white kittens. Text alongside posted by Mansfield Cat Rescue:

It appears we've once again acquired a collection of feral kittens who have absolutely no idea they're only 500g and look like they've been assembled from fluff and bad decisions.
So, we're looking for feral kitten fosterers.

Requirements include:
• Being shouted at by something smaller than your slipper.
• Accepting that every meal is apparently a hostage negotiation.
• Remaining calm while a kitten with all the physical presence of a teabag attempts to convince you it's a tiger.
• Not expecting "thank you" from tiny individuals whose only hobbies are hissing, glaring and committing crimes against your hands.

These kittens arrive with all the social graces of a drunk bloke outside Wetherspoons at closing time. Your job is simply to convince them that people aren't, in fact, the enemy.

It takes patience, a sense of humour, and the ability to ignore being judged by someone who only learned to use a litter tray last Tuesday.

The payoff? Watching a tiny, furious gremlin gradually realise that chin scratches, warm beds and regular meals are actually rather lovely, before heading off to a forever home as a completely different cat.

!!!! quiche has done it again! a character sheet comm of captain sabrene de tanju, known by legend as the sea phoenix. a fierce and deadly pirate captain who’s not without compassion and honour, sabrene aims to claim dominion over the sea at any cost. thank you so much @qookyquiche.bsky.social !!!

A character sheet of Captain Sabrene de Tanju, a pirate character in my fantasy WIP novel, “The Goldnotes.” She has warm skin, long black hair with grey streaks at the temples, and dark eyes. In the full body image she wears a long maroon coat with gold trim and has two gold-handled rapiers at her sides, as well as a pirate hat with a feather.

In the top left half-body image, she is wearing a red wig with yellow-tipped ends like fire, and has bright read feathery eye makeup as well, and is in mid-combat with her swords drawn. Top right: a greyscale of her with her natural hair, looking furious. Bottom left: greyscale of her leaning on the railing of her ship, natural hair blowing and looking serene. Bottom right: colour image of her smiling softly while holding rolled up scrolls.
