Living room Fire Place. Wood only. Last winter, little heat, lots of "blow back" smoke. Took the baffle plates off. Couldn't see a problem. The flume seems good.

I've been busy, like most days. Today, • Started fermentation on new batches of wine. • Had to clean(mop) floors from Rio' diarrhea poop fest. • Picked up crap around the fire place; Sealed (taped up) protective plastic around it. • Begin to cut the steal plating.

I love sitting out on the patio but it gets breezy & cold. The current fire pit is really more for decoration than a heater. But I ordered outdoor stand-alone propane heater. I think it arrives tomorrow. I'm so use to TX heat that here, there IS a Fall season w/cooler temps!!

Then I remembered - I heard varmit noises last night; mice? chipmunk? squirrel? raccoon? IDK. But I went checking & sure enough I found huge hole the varmit created. I temporarily put expanding foam there. I know they can chew thru it but I'll fix it better, tomorrow.

It's been raining cats & dogs here in Santa Fe, NM. For about 2 was. Off & On rain. But like Tuesday to Wednesday it was non-stop. Slow rain, hard rain, really hard rain. It's caused problems but we needed the rain! Really bad flooding south.
