I guess what I'm trying to say here is that only you can choose who and what you are and interest in topics that break gender norms doesn't make you more or lesser than what you are. Never let others decide what you should be or not be for you.

Obviously, it's much easier to mix everything together, especially since liking so-called "girly" things can be an expression of one's dislike for their assigned gender. I've been an object of such mistakes a few times and it's never not annoying.

Having an interest in sewing, or even crossdressing doesn't make you gay or trans. Being attracted to men as a man or being uncomfortable with your own gender are two completely separate things from the desire to make something that looks beautiful.

I've been sewing, crafting and crossdressing for so long now that I don't really see it as a particularly revolutionary act anymore and more like a gender neutral activity. I truly wish this became the norm instead of pigeonholing people into broader categories.

The new dressmaker game is fascinating to me because its sole existence encourages adult men on 4chan to defy North American gender norms and learn that sewing and crafting is fun, actually. It's also forcing them to question their gender and sexuality, somehow.

Yea, that makes sense. I pc game on linux exclusively now and everything is playable as long as it uses directX and isn't an online shooter. So unless they somehow lock a new version of directX to windows 11, I don't think you should be worried about using win 10 for current and future games.

Red @ Halloween @redcavalier.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

I'd be very surprised if they actually enforce the requirement and the game doesn't work on windows 10.

I guess I should say Fortune weave's fun! At least 2 out of 4 protags being edgelords wasn't expected but it's incredibly amusing.

Fire emblem's Dietrich and Fabio's B support being the gayest thing I've seen this year wasn't on my bingo card.

Oui oui c'est le plan. C'est juste que j'en ai pour quelques semaines de "adult things", alors ça demande du self-control.

My switch 2 has just been sitting there for 2 weeks, while I try to finish games I was playing previously and work on cosplay.

Bought Pokopia but absolutely terrified to start it, because this game is addictive and I'm an adult who has adult things to do.

Red @ Halloween @redcavalier.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Probably! It's been happening every year for.... quite a while, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's at least a little bit famous!

Fun fact, the first time I saw "UMAD", I thought people were talking about my local FGC tournament, not the Kefka ultimate.

Oh, I just get affected by discourse through osmosis, I don't partake or go out of my way to look for it.

Ftr, I'm planning to at least do edgyboy and Leda paths.

I'm conflicted about the new Fire Emblem. On one side, it looks really good. However, it looks like it will fuel 3 houses discourse for years to come.

Think of how many potential Nanamis we lose every season due to the current state of production. The industry needs to change. Do It For Her.

Already Sunday of Otakuthon, it all just went by in a flash this year. Looking forward to WCS in a few hours.

Pretty sure the server icons used to be square and I preferred them square, so I really don't mind, this is an improvement.

000

Red @ Halloween @redcavalier.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

Happy to see I'm not crazy. Server icons were circles yesterday, right?

Otakuthon cosplay plans~ Will finally get to photoshoot Nanoha and have more than 1 picture, lol.

Red @ Halloween @redcavalier.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

OMG THANK YOU! I'm looking forward to seeing pics of your full cosplay! I also did Fate in the past, I can post pics, when I won't be last minute crimping a wig 😅

Red @ Halloween @redcavalier.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

It's funny because I'm currently packing my own Nanoha costume in my suitcase for my local con. Another Nanoha jumpscare wasn't on my bingo card.

Truly, some things just don't care about the language barrier.

A convention schedule entry for a roblox cosplay meetup, whatever that might look like.

Red @ Halloween @redcavalier.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

This is all from data gathered by me from browsing cosplay lineup posts in the official Otakuthon Facebook group. 100% unscientific.

110

Red @ Halloween @redcavalier.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

What's really interesting with a con like Otakuthon is that you can really see what popular thing managed to pierce the english/french language barrier by looking at cosplay trends. HSR? Yup, it's there. Umamusume? What's that? One piece? It's HUGE. TADC? Barely a thing.

Today is the BB dubai release banner in #fgo and I managed to get her fairly fast! So, I felt compelled to edit 1 picture from the yeticon photoshoot. 📸: @bahamutnight.bsky.social
