I needed to make a fast cape, so I used a thrifted comforter to get the quilted effect from my original design, but I also included the cotton batting. It does not drape. AT ALL. I cut it apart and will re-sew, and I think it'll work out just fine. Mistakes are part of the process.

Quilted cape proof of concept. I really like how it looks, but I think I'm out of steam to execute it for ECCC. A friend passed on Monday and I processed by crafting for 3 days straight on very little sleep, and now it's hitting me hard. Cosplay is about fun. If it stops being fun, change it

The mask attachment was a little finicky but worked SO well. I patterned and sewed a quick little headband that I glued on the inside of the cowl's front edge. I hand-stitched pockets for magnets after confirming placement, so the mask snaps perfectly into place. #CultOfTheLamb #Cosplay

The crown is removable and is attached with 3 purse magnets on strips of deer hide. The strips slide through openings sliced in the cowl and snap into place #Cosplay

The horns are made of armature wire, tin foil, masking tape, and stone clay. I sanded the clay once dry and painted using the same method as the mask. They're affixed to the inside of the cowl with barge cement and a piece of deer hide to cover the wire #Cosplay

I decided to make new ears as I wasn't happy with the size and shape of the previous ones. I also picked a better spot on the hide to cut so the hair direction and color looked more natural. I turned the hood inside out to mark placement, and punched some holes to make hearing easier #Cosplay

I also treated myself to some mask carving time last night. Using a V-shaped chisel, I was able to go in and make the fur marks in the clay. I did another round of sanding afterwards to smooth everything out. After a quick seal, this guy is now ready for paint!

I was able to remove the old eye without ruining the crown 🙌🏽 and I mixed a new purple using Folklore acrylics. To lighten the base purple, I mixed it with color shift purple, which resulted in this really magical shade. MUCH happier with how this looks. The new eye is glued into place.

I also started working on my landsknecht shorts, using a wonderful pattern by Rabbit and Hat Patterns. 45+ cut strips of fabric and a few hours of sewing later, and I have 1 half of the stripes needed! Planning to tackle more this weekend and start the quilted cape!

We used large ornament bells to get the cartoony scale from the game. We chose black so we could use Rub n' buff to change the color as needed: silver for my goat, and gold for the lamb. I will never get tired of how cool this product is to use

I also made some cute goat ears out of veg tan leather. They will also get covered with goat hide. I tested with one but it's too long and looks crazy, so I'm going to try giving it a haircut with some clippers!

I wanted a grey hide and thought that's what I ordered, but I ended up with this lovely brown hide instead - which is fine! The Goat is technically grey, but the lighting in the game makes him look brown so we'll call it a design choice XD I had to be mindful of hair direction

It took a lot of layers to get the eye nice and opaque, and I was super happy with it, but there's very low contrast between the purple and the pupil, and the glossiness of the ornament makes it extremely hard to see, so I will be trying a lighter purple instead

We used La Doll stone clay. It's super lightweight and sturdy AND sands really well. I enjoyed working with it a lot. I actually had to break my mask in order to fix the curve and how it fit on my face, but it was very easy to patch and sand like new
