Red @red64.bsky.social · 16/09/2026God I fuckin love miniatures This is a very good article from the time on the effects in Die Hard theasc.com/article/soph... 0120 0
Red @red64.bsky.social · 16/09/2026This is true (and it's why I feel pretty relaxed about flying mine around) but those aren't really on the same scale as the cinema drones Also if you need to show a helicopter in the movie, one of these won't really cover it. In most cases today, vfx can deal with that 150 0
Red @red64.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Back then they were basically small remote controlled helicopters but hey same idea (these Flying Cam ones were used on a few of the Brosnan Bond movies) 051 0
Red @red64.bsky.social · 14/09/2026Since I got my tiny little ebook reader I've gotten through a bunch of stuff as it's always in my pocket and I've been reading a bunch at work while supervising a particular machine 120 0
Red @red64.bsky.social · 09/09/2026Wellllllllll :P Not by the 70s really, it's all safety film by then. That stuff burns but pretty slowly, it's not nitrate which is where you get some real fun stuff like this one I set on fire :D 130 0
Red @red64.bsky.social · 19/07/2026Hell yeah. That was very good. Felt like what many of his movies have been building up to. 130 0
Red @red64.bsky.social · 17/07/2026:) I like my kobo for it being waterproof but the lack of buttons (especially when the old models had buttons) means you can't read in the shower and that's stupid 130 0
Red @red64.bsky.social · 13/07/2026Pictured: folder and contents Google, what the fuck do you mean by "modified"? Clearly not the last time it was modified when there's clearly a folder inside from this week. 040 0
Red @red64.bsky.social · 27/05/2026It can get so much worse with slide film if you want it to be 010 0
Red @red64.bsky.social · 27/05/2026Update: hell yeah @ericmigi.com congrats on making the perfect smartwatch.... Again and again I also have a sneaking suspicion (which I'm testing) that the rgb backlight, with the right watchface, might be darkroom safe... For film, not just paper. 050 0
Red @red64.bsky.social · 17/05/2026The first time I was in Germany, literally fresh off the plane, I promptly got to work disrupting German society 010 0
Red @red64.bsky.social · 16/05/2026Suitable for my general daily wanderings One camera is a normal Canon M6 MkII, the other one is the same, but modified to full spectrum infrared 020 0
Red @red64.bsky.social · 16/04/2026Fun fact, I ate here most days during high school and I still go back all the time when I'm visiting Toronto 110 0
Red @red64.bsky.social · 30/03/2026The vast majority of Ryanair flights are like this and I deeply enjoy it 040 0
Red @red64.bsky.social · 24/03/2026Also it's the same colour scheme as the old TTC trams (and a bunch of other transit stuff from that time period) 010 0
Red @red64.bsky.social · 24/03/2026Oh nice, you made it inside! It really is too big to comprehend from the outside at least 030 0
Red @red64.bsky.social · 14/12/2025I'd say ISO 200 is plenty fast for a cat indoors (if it's light out) 020 0
Red @red64.bsky.social · 01/11/2025OH MY GOD THEY DID IT This fixes my only real problem with the last Pebble, that backlight control wasn't one of the options in quick launch, so I had to menu dive to switch it on and off, now I just hold the back button and it turns off! 110 0
Red @red64.bsky.social · 01/11/2025The included wriststrap kinda sucks BUT I have the original one from the Pebble Time! It's very comfy :D 110 0
Red @red64.bsky.social · 01/11/2025This will be my 4th Pebble. A little over a year ago, before any of this stuff was happening, I noticed I could get a Pebble Time brand new in box off ebay for like $70 so I picked one up and it's been my daily use device since then and it's been perfect. Still the only good smartwatches. 120 0
Red @red64.bsky.social · 21/10/2025Caught it a 2nd time in Montreal (after seeing it in Toronto in 35mm) and it's even better the 2nd time. I did have to spend an hour wandering around looking for a poster tube to keep it safe but I managed. What a movie though, it's so awe inspiring. 41398 0
Red @red64.bsky.social · 16/09/2025Yep that's basically it. My gf only speaks English and keeps telling me that she feels dumb when I mention something about being Somewhat multilingual and I just send this comic again. Yes I SOUND smart... Because you don't know I just spent 3 minutes trying to remember how to say "where's my coat?" 000 0
Red @red64.bsky.social · 31/08/2025This is the last 2 weeks worth of empty 35mm cans. We have been *busy* 0242 0
Red @red64.bsky.social · 27/08/2025I'm sorry to report this to you but Disney+ is the only one that's learned this :P 120 0
Red @red64.bsky.social · 25/08/2025Then I did this and spent a solid 5 minutes laughing my ass off 120 0
