When my mother called me this morning to tell me what the vet told my dad I surprised myself because I didn't cry and wasn't even sad. It just made sense, she was too old and her health was bad so it wasn't a surprise. It was the right thing to do so she wouldn't suffer any more

My dad, my younger brother and I took her to the vet today and she was sedated. We stayed by her side while she fell asleep. It was way quicker than I thought but it still broke me. Seeing her there, with her eyes looking at nothing, not moving.... Fuck...
