Martha Rosler’s “House Beautiful: Bringing the War Home” Vietnam (1967-1972) The photomontages juxtapose idyllic images of American domestic interiors taken from Life Magazine with the horrors of the Vietnam war. The conflict was the first to be widely televised earning the name “living-room war.”
