This convention I’m doing is making us all sad. They have me signing out of a garbage bin in a squalid corner and there’s a huge line for free pudding samples that cuts across this entire corner so nobody can even see that we exist. People throw their empty pudding containers in my garbage bin.

On a plane right now and the pilot has been on the speaker for a weirdly long time waxing wistful about how he wanted to be an astronaut and sometimes he thinks of taking the plane up as high as it’ll go maybe even into outer space. The quality is real bad but I think he’s crying.

Saw this tiny lady wandering around while out on a walk and didn’t see any other human around. She refused to tell me where she lived so I knocked on doors until someone finally said yes that was indeed their dog. This good deed frees me up to do something hideous now. That’s how balance works.

I get that I’m “The ZIM guy” but this is always the kind of stuff that inspires me. In fact certain movies, this, Don’t Look Up, Beau is Afraid, they always make me think of the kind of worlds I obsess over, for how grotesque and how possessed of a desire to say something, even something hideous.
