If someone is going to work as a researcher it would be a waste of time to have them do residency unrelated to their work for a license they don't use. The license is there to keep things safe and legal for the patient but he doesn't treat patients. 100

If you want to be an academic or work in public health policy you go from there. If you want to treat patients, you get licensed to practice. 1100
