I'm late once again but Happy #kidlitartpostcard Day!!! 🌕🥮 I'm Becky, a Singaporean #kidlit #childrenbook #illustrator who loves to delve into the diverse and muticultural facets of Singaporean Life in her works. I’m open for projects and seeking rep! #kidlitartpostcardday #kidlitart #myart

This is a kidlit illustration based on the beloved yearly activity of children carrying colourful animal lanterns during the Mid-Autumn Festival. The kids here are shown carrying a dragon lantern, a rabbit lantern, and a fish lantern. As they trek across a grassy field together, under a bright full moon.

It is repurposed as a postcard for KidLitArtPostcard (Which is held on the first Thursday of every month, so yes I know I'm late SOBS!)

Hello, it’s me again with another lately done piece. I am deeply saddened by how AI-focused my country’s National Day (which was last month) ended up becoming. So here is a little hand drawn piece that I did, even if it’s a little late. #kidlit #kidlitart #myart #kidlitarttist #singaporeart

A digital illustration done in procreate to celebrate Singapore’s birthday, National Day. In front are kids of different races, smiling and holding something that represents their country.

The Chinese boy in the middle, and the Indian girl on the right are holding flags.

The Malay boy on the left is holding a craft piece of the iconic dragon playground.

Behind them is the Singapore stadium, and some HDB buildings.

A little piece that I did for for funsies of my dog. It's honestly a challenge to get his likeness right, so I'm going to keep drawing him until I see some improvement in these portraits! 😤 #myart #mydog #dogart #pupper #procreateart #singaporespecial

What actually happened when I tried to learn basketball. I didn’t last 5 minutes out on that court. 🥲 #myart #kidlit #characterart #kidlitart #childrenbookart #childrenbook #childrenbookillustrator #childrenbookillustration #sketch

A sequel to the June postcard kidlit illustration, this is a drawing of younger me collapsed on the ground with a basketball laying beside me.

I have never been a healthy or fit person, and so it wasn’t all that surprising I wouldn’t last five minutes out on the court. Even if it was just me trying to toss the ball through the hoop all on my own.

Happy #kidlitartpostcard Day!!! ☀️ 🌈 🏀 Following this month's theme of "You as a Kid", here's littler me playing basketball. I'm Becky, a Singaporean Kid Lit Illustrator. I love drawing kiddos getting into everyday shenanigans with their loved ones! #kidlitartpostcardday #kidlit #kidlitart

A digitally illustrated kidlit postcard of a young girl playing basketball.

There is sweat beading down the side of her face, as she plays on a bright orange basketball court on a bright, sunny day. With a vibrant field of flowers shown further in the background behind her and the court.

This is presented as a postcard for the KidLitArtPostcard monthly event, with this month's theme being "You, as a Kid".

I have always been frail and sickly, ever since I was a young. And so days were incredibly rare, when I would try to be more active. There was a particular day, when I had tried to go out all by myself to play basketball. In hopes of getting fitter and healthier. Just so that I could make my brother proud especially, and that I would eventually be able to spend more time with him.

Sadly though, that would not be the reality. But I'm still proud of my younger self for still trying her best.

These are some of the most detailed costumes that I ever had to draw for this project. And if I had more time, I would have actually made them more detailed and faithful to the original photo references. #kidlitartwork #kidlit #childrenbookart #singaporeillustrator #kidlitartist #myart

A digital illustration of kids attired in their incredibly colourful and detailed International Dance costumes. They are participating for the SYF60 event.

There is a photo reference to the left to show a comparison between the illustration and the original designs.

The artwork is also drawn and shown on the Procreate software.

Posting another old piece that I would love to redraw someday. This was a sample piece that I rushed out about Chingay. While we sadly did not make it, I was kinda proud of managing this out in 2 days. #kidlit #singaporeillustrators #singaporeillustrator #kidlitart #childrenbookart #myart

A digital illustration inspired by the Chingay Parade, children of different ethnicities are dressed in colourful costumes. They are surrounding a Chinese dragon as they walk down the street. There is a crowd watching in the background, there is confetti in the air. And HDB buildings seen further in the background.

Hi it’s been awhile! I’m really hoping to post more this year! Here’s a concept piece that I rushed out for a client in about 3 days! #kidlit #kidlitart #kidlitartist #singaporeartist

A digitally illustrated concept for a children festival based in Singapore. The illustration is actually divided into 6 zones, where kids are seen participating in various activities.

The top left has the kids participating in taking care of animals and plants.

The top middle focuses on solar and wind energy.

The top right focuses on a green neighbourhood, with recycling bins and a private garden.

The middle left is the water zone where the river is being cleaned and tested.

The bottom right is the transport zone, focusing on environmentally friendly modes of transport.

And finally the last zone at the bottom right is the heritage street. Showcasing Singapore shophouses, a painted mural on a building and one of the country’s iconic dragon playground slides.
