Interesting. In article about GOP primary winner who's lying and unethical, author brings up 3 Dems candidates as analogies. Galindo was called anti-semitic, Platner forced by DSCC to resign over rape allegations, only Chevalier won. What do they have in common ? All are anti-war, anti-Zionist.

The accusations against Platner look very much like a political hit job. Given start to end it took 3 days, July 6 - 8, and there will be no votes from individual voters, just party delegates, all this leads to suspect this is Dem establishment hit job because of his populist and anti-war stance.

Iranian women are much freer than Saudi women, or women in most Gulf states. The reason Friedman brings up Iranian women is not because he cares about women, it's because he is pro Israel. He demonizes Iran because Iran is the enemy of Israel, not because Iran is worse than any of the Gulf states.

Women are not all saints, men are not all sinners. We need to judge case by case. Women have a lot more power now, economic and legal. There is no reason to assume women are the victim and men are the aggressor, that's just not true in all cases. In fact, sometimes both men and women are at fault.

Platner 's personal life is between him and his wife. His policies ideas are what's relevant to voters as a Senate candidate. This kind of personal attacks against Platner has to stop. It's fueled by people who are against his anti-war and progressive policies.

People who are risk averse and perfect in keeping their past clean would never have courage to fight. They would just go with political establishment like many Dems candidates supported by Schumer. You will only get passionate and imperfect candidates that dare to fight. So Platner is one of those.

Kamala Harris was not anti-war and didn't have progressive economic policies. She's classic establishment Democrat. And campaigning with Cheney was not a good look. That's all politics though. No personal attacks on Kamala, only on her policies. Very different from Platner situation.

The authors of this article often write about "anti-semitism". It's well known Platner is anti-war and anti Israel's actions regarding Palestinians. This kind of hit piece attacking a person's integrity had already been tried on many men, including Assange. It's time for NYTimes to stop doing this.

Assange is not a rapist. That's how the US government can attack him for exposing national security secrets. When the US government wants to punish Assange, you can see they use all possible weapons.

I personally don't think Platner is an anti Semite at all. I think he is anti-war, from the left, and he gets attacked by Zionists who may also normally lean left. It's a fight between Zionist left and anti-war left. Using sexual accusations as weapon. This is how the left usual attacks.
