My favourite @adventurex.bsky.social memory was the first event I was part of the organising team. People were sceptical of the event, and told me they wouldn't come. I posted on every damn forum under the sun. I remember turning around and seeing PEOPLE. #advxconf #advx26 @adventurex.bsky.social

Among other things this video covers the bizarre creator slide deck which I think could easily form the basis of a very funny one page RPG.

Fun little commission I've been working on. Writing the description and Steam Page for Mumbo Shuffle. A neat Rogue-like deckbuilder with a Teletext aesthetic. I'm enjoying doing these smaller bits of creative copywriting alongside my other work. store.steampowered.com/app/3466340/...

Mumbo Shuffle Steam Store Page: Load up on snacks, ready your remote, and join the mischievous Mumbos as you play, build, and jumble your way to victory in this card-based roguelike deckbuilder set in the hidden universe at the edges of the TV signal.

Steam store page:
Mumbo Shuffle is a card-based roguelike deck builder where you explore a universe hidden at the edges of the TV signal. Along the way, you’ll be guided through this strange new reality by the Mumbos, digital creatures imbued with elemental power and their own unique decks. Pick your companion wisely as you navigate increasingly challenging goals.

Play, Build, Shuffle - Score combos, build your deck, level up hands, and score big to progress through the universe.
Meet your Mates the Mumbos! - Just look at ‘em! These cheeky digital critters each bring their own unique decks. Every Mumbo has its own elemental strengths and weaknesses for maximum replayability.
Tune up your Strategy - Tune into ninety unique channels that alter your game experience, power up your multipliers, and win big.
Master the Elements - Here at the edge of the universe, the creative elements matter. Exploit elemental powers to blaze a pixelated path to glory. The powerful fire card will give you a toasty +20 power. It’s so good it’ll burn up the card!
Unique Teletex - Inspired Visuals - Classic visuals inspired by everyone’s favourite television-based information system.
Test Signal - Tune into the test signal to discover the sandbox where you can experiment with builds and hone your skills.
Raise the Stakes with (potato) Chips! - Their nutritional value is negligible; their ingredient list is suspicious. Gamble with these delicious snacks to raise the difficulty!
Channel Surfing - Use the remote to navigate the digital universe, discover secret broadcasts, and find the mysterious hidden mini-games.

Opened up AGS for the first time in years, to try some ideas out. Main character currently looks like this, because I'm a writer and not a pixel artist. ( The BG is the default tutorial one)
