The #recount results are now officially certified — and I won! 🎉 The final outcome remains unchanged: 1,079 votes for me and 1,070 for Tim Steiner. I am grateful, honored, excited, and ready to get to work as your new Cheney City Councilmember. 💛💙 #ElectionResults #CheneyWA #CheneyCityCouncil

Tues we got to go watch the #Recount in person. Was amazing to see how fast it was! Literally took longer to sign in (& longer to print the report at the end!) than it took to do the recount. 😄 Kudos to the #SpokaneCountyElections team for having such a tight process! #CheneyWA #CheneyCityCouncil

Counting is finally done! The results are in: I finished with 1,079 votes to Tim Steiner's 1,070, along with 6 write-ins. With such a narrow 9 vote win, state laws dictate this goes to an automatic machine recount which will take place next Tuesday for recertification next Wednesday.

What is "curing ballots"? Think of it like this... sometimes a ballot gets a little sick (maybe a missing or mismatched signature). “Curing” your ballot means fixing it so it can get healthy and be counted!
