I wrote this awhile ago and had forgotten about it until looking through some discord messages, I still really like the idea and thought people here might as well ^-^

Kiera Steele has spent the last ten years trying to rebuild herself from the shell of personhood that the imperial hound program left buried in her head.

But nothing could ever fill the hole She left behind. Kiera had tried to fill it but orders from a general of the newly formed Tri-Federation rung hollow and as much as they tried, the girls she hooked up with didn’t understand the words that really got her going.

And when she finally worked up the courage to ask them to try it out, they left, shouting expletives about her being degenerate scum, an imperial fetishist. The few that agreed held back, too afraid to hurt her, she’d always be ‘human’ to them..

Alcohol did a decent job at numbing that, she’d have preferred something stronger, like her old combat stims, but with crackdowns under Tri-Federation, this was the best she could do.

If there was anyone who’d understand how she felt, it’d be another ex-hound, so when she spots Amelia Doux, the runt of her sister hounds, cruising around the space-port Kiera had found herself in, she was ecstatic.

With a few drinks downed, it was only a matter of time before they found their lips together and on their way to a room. It was just like when their Handlers used to be around, while they’d mingle, the dogs would play and Amelia was Kieras favourite chewtoy.

With the years that had passed, Kiera noticed that Amelia wasn’t the same little sister she remembered… This girl held herself higher than she once did, spoke with the confidence of a leader and wore clothes of a status a hound could never hope to achieve. Kiera was the same and Amelia was better, her little sister… was better than her.. and Kiera knew how she treated her betters.

it’s insane how much happier I am now that I’m not trying to force myself to read or write when I literally can’t focus, it hasn’t solved issues but it’s definitely made getting through life a whole lot less stressful back to work tomorrow, just nice to have realised this and worked on my room 🙂‍↕️
