friend of mine just sent me this, apparently someone is describing what those "receivers" are expected to do for gaza fundraiser accounts. they are wiring the funds in "rounds" under $1500 because there's a "problem" receiving a wire of more than $2000. jesus christ.

starting a new receipts thread, since we've switched platforms from GFM to chuffed.

now that i'm managing the bank account for
@abdhajjaj.bsky.social
's fundraiser things will be a little different!

you can donate here: chuffed.org/project/119736

initially, Abod's friend, who lives in Belgium, provided the bank account for Abod's fundraiser. this is why the GoFundMe was in euro.

now, we have moved to Chuffed, and the fundraiser is attached to my bank account, which uses USD. i'm also now in charge of the international transfers to Abod.

wired the fourth round of funds to Abod!
last time, Abod had trouble receiving a wire of over $2k. he asked us to cap future transfers at $1.5k, even if we have more to send. so, with this transfer, we are up to $6,153 sent of the $7,307 raised.
luckily, this wire went through without issue!
tysm ❤️ photo of a receipt for a wire transfer, with the sensitive information redacted. it shows my wife Val transferred $1.5k to our friend Abdulrahman Hajjaj in Gaza.

Continuing from my last tweet, yeah the disabling QTs thing is something that could get easily abused. Imagine if somebody makes some bad/evil/disagreeable post of some sort and we want to call them out on it. With this thing on.. we can't.

Dreams of Globalisation 🌎🌍🌏 @realpolitrik.bsky.social · 26/05/2025

Posting screenshot because OP disabled QTs (not at all suspicious). Have you considered that the fundraiser account is being run by supporters on the behalf of Gazans, *outside* of Gaza ?

Many of my followers are still sticking with that dogshit site because Bluesky is way too strict (and even biased) in their moderation. Don't fumble a good opportunity like this.

I just came back to say keep your eyes on Kashmir in this tense moment. Undoubtedly tourist deaths are a loss, but I do not want the Indian security forces or people in general to respond the way I expect them to in the form of reprisals.

Let me guess, this site didn't have a good time with the Trump-Zelenskyy thing. I can't blame you though.

Hello there. For the last two days, I've experienced the single weirdest sleep schedule in my whole life so far. I haven't gotten out of bed for 15 hours in a row, most of it sleeping.

Mr. Beshear said that the hardest part of dealing with the new administration was that the American people would have to feel the pain of Mr. Trump’s actions so that they would learn not to make the mistake of electing someone like him again. Gov. Kathy Hochul of New York said that Democrats were not inclined to inflict pain on their constituents, but that people needed to understand the consequences of electing Mr. Trump.

I edited this post by ICE on Twitter into something more appropriate and true to its nature.

Bluesky feels far more responsive and less torturous to use than Twitter. It's a wonder how people aren't migrating faster.

Hello Jack. For months, you have mocked, defamed and belittled our beloved President, Joe Biden, who single-handedly saved America from fascism. Your "activism" and actions have directly led to Trump defeating Harris ruining your country's future. On your left is a blowtorch....
