The Glums was the critics name for it. Not trying to pass that off as mine.

I notice the Sondheim Theatre has a sign displaying the casual name for their show. Should install another sign saying 'The Glums' I can't bear smug abbreviations for TV shows, ie- Strictly, Who, The Gen Game, 'Hot, Mum. I once heard Richard Griffiths say, "That happened all the time on Pie."😡

I mean, see Goblin perform that score 'back then' in 2014, not 1978. 😁

My Halloween advent calendar. 7th OCT Dawn Of The Dead OST (1978) La caccia - Goblin. One of the great soundtracks. A huge deal for me to see it performed live back then. Ha! Found the concert ticket in the sleeve and an old pic of my old DOTD figures. www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsxV...

My Halloween advent calendar. 6th OCT A Nosferatu silver 7" from RSD 2016. Selections from James Bernard's 1995 score for the 1922 silent classic. That silhouette still remains one of the most chilling images in cinema. www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcH3...

It was actually a brave and novel finale conclusion, but then she didn't own it and brought Dan back from the dead over twenty years later for season 10. I never watched it but apparently wasn't actually a dream after all, but Roseanne's manuscript for a semi-autobiographical novel or something?

Season 9 of Roseanne. Fantasy sequences, a huge lottery payout, characters suddenly behaving the complete opposite to what you'd expect them to & more stupid cameos. All symptoms of a show that is running out of ideas. And John Goodman's mostly absent. Oh, and the whole season was Roseanne's dream.

Last week, in conversation I stupidly said I needed one of those fluorescent 'hi res' jackets rather than saying 'hi vis' jackets. A FLAC jacket, perhaps? Gettin' old.

My Halloween advent calendar. 5th OCT 7" of the Hammer House Of Horror theme by Roger Webb. Saturday nights in 1980 were a treat for a young horror fan. A tune that still makes me feel excited, a bit anxious, but slightly melancholic. www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEBl...

Years ago, I once had a casting for a small role in Coronation Street. Got a London to Manchester return, + cab to and from Granada Studios. Met the director. Read a few lines. I was in and out within minutes. The travel came to around 120 quid out of my own pocket. And no, I didn't get the job.

Today, I had to go on the tube at 8am for a work appointment. I forgot how ghastly the Underground is at that time of the day. I thought to myself, "Won't be doing this again in a hurry." Except I will, as the appointment is actually for tomorrow morning. I am no use nor ornament.

My Halloween advent calendar. 4th OCT Before The Twilight Zone, there was the scary ABC TV anthology series, One Step Beyond (1959-61), hosted and directed by John Newland. TRACK: Fear - Harry Lubin. Theremin and eerie female wailing? I'll have some of that, thanks. www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXmD...

Yes, it's always about the audio quality, although I do prefer the sleeve not to be ripped or water damaged. I don't have much problem with the ballpoint notations you often get on library LPs. I've only ever bought one album with NO sleeve. This OST in a chazza. www.youtube.com/watch?v=dr5J...

God, I'm the opposite. I flippin' HATE Record exchange stickers as they're nigh on impossible to remove. I know if you get white vinegar and a cotton bud...etc...etc, but it such a faff. I just want to peel it off like a Post-it note. Eighties Our Price stickers can do one too!

Things I have learnt today Pt 2 There was a 1991 sequel to the 1986 thriller, 'FX' called unsurprisingly 'FX2'. Another movie premise that wouldn't work the same today. DoJ: Rollie, we need you to stage a fake murder using your spfx skills! Rollie:(SIGHS) Just use Ai. I'm off for a round of golf.

In the consumer TV show, That's Life, Doc Cox was a co-presenter. His alter ego was Ivor Biggun. I wonder how he got that job considering his scatological, smutty music career. It'd be like if BBC's Watchdog hired K**t & The Gang to perform cheeky songs at people in Fulham North End Road market too.

Do you have an entry/ cut off point with library? I start around 1960. So '60 to '65 - upbeat Carry On type music/ go go jazz, '66 to '69 - groovier, weirder pop, OST spy vibes '70 to '75 - funkier/ folkier stuff, '76 to '82 - cod rock/ old electronica. It's diminishing returns after 1982 for me

That's the main reason I'm on Discogs. I still buy stuff off it but the import prices are just silly now. Oh, and to delude myself athow much my collection is worth.

I don't really do the socials on Discogs, LL. It's enough dealing with the platforms I'm already on.

Do put pics up of the other three LPs. You know we could never go record hunting together. I used to got to record fairs in the eighties with a mate with almost exactly the same music tastes. It just became a joyless race to the right boxes between us.
