Yesterday afternoon, I visited Spirit Halloween, as I often do—it’s become something of a tradition for me whenever Halloween rolls around. When I got there and started browsing the store, I came across my favorite section: the checkout line, where they have last-minute gifts and random items for sale before you buy your main costume-related stuff.As I was browsing that aisle, I walked over to the socks. While looking at the fun random socks they had for sale, I suddenly spotted what I strongly believe is the coolest-looking pair of A Nightmare on Elm Street-related merchandise socks. They featured Freddy Krueger’s famous burn-mark fleshy skin texture design.After a quick look, though, I remembered I’m kind of a cheapskate and was focused on saving money for something else important, so I passed on the socks. A few hours later, I thought of a better solution: I could still spend a little without wrecking my entire savings. I looked them up online to see if I could buy the same socks I’d seen at Spirit Halloween earlier. After a few minutes of searching with no luck finding the exact pair, I decided to go back to the store just before closing time (around 9 PM), bought them, and drove home.Looking at the socks I just purchased, I think I made another great buy.
