How did they know that the person leaving the house was “an illegal alien” if they hadn’t identified him yet? And since when is it okay to shoot to kill a fleeing person who hasn’t displayed a weapon or made any move toward an officer or others? If your skin is brown, your life means nothing.

Yeah, these days one must be VERY specific! No tarp, no scaffolding, no new anything that obstructs the view of the building. No investigations or harassment of those who objected. He really hates anything that gives him bad PR - the worst crime you can commit against him.

Oh, happy memories from my youth! Our family of 6 used to rent a pontoon boat for the day, just a simple flat bed with a roof overhead, and have fun trolling around Lake Texarkana. We sat on lawn chairs I think? had a big cooler full of food, and periodically stopped to jump in for a swim.

I really enjoyed going to see it in a packed theater on July 4. But after so many years, I really can’t get through the whole thing anymore. And I don’t remember thinking that it was cheesy at the time but - It’s so cheesy.

I did that too, with my son who is now 39 and has his own child. Everyone cheered when “July 4” appeared on the screen and it was a wonderful moment we all shared. We weren’t a divided country back then.
