First cast of my blob monster I sculpted in monster clay. I need to get a slower cure time resin. It (smooth cast 65d) was kicking off while I was pouring so the tips of the tentacles didnt cast. Going to order some smooth cast 300 and see how that does. #sculpture #monster #ooze #resin

Rise from the grave! Just a test in #blender3d I did bang my head a bit with geometry nodes trying to get dirt clods to fall off him and land on the ground as he rose. I decided to put that aside and come back to that later.

Casted the larger mandible bits. Even with a pressure pot the tips has a bubble. Lesson learned, need to add a vent in such molds. Easy with with an epoxy clay though. #monsterclay #creaturedesign #horror

Sometimes I feel the universe is against me. Ordered some new molding and casting materials. Amazon put everything in bags instead of boxes. So now I have a bag full of goop from busted bottles. The bottles that survived being shipped in a bag are the wrong ones.

Smooth On Rebound and Moldstar silicone still good after 16 years. Smooth cast... TBD. The first bottle, onyx, the hardener, was hardened. The next set, Smooth Cast white, a dead ant plopped out. How did this ant get in the bottle? How long was it in there? Who knows???? #smoothon #moldmaking
