It was an excellent Ultimate Toy Fair. I sold out of two gothic guys, '89 Batman and the Headless Horseman. Thanks to everyone who came by my table. #papertoys #papercrafts #papercraft #handmade #cubedudes

Why did it take so long to make the stones? I made 3 sets. One by request, one for my spouse and one up for grabs at Victoria's Ultimate Toy Fair. #thefifthelement #paperprops #papercraft #handmade #cubedudes

Back at these guys. I was thinking that I needed to cover them in something that looks like sandpaper. Then it dawned on me that I could just use sandpaper. Sometimes my brain takes the long route. #thefifthelement #paperprops #papercraft #handmade #cubedudes

I picked up this little frame simply because I liked it. I didn't know what the blue and gold complimented best. I eventually settled on Judge Dredd. #judgedredd #coolguysdontlookatexplosions #framedart #papercrafts #cubedudes

Sometimes I buy a frame as a challenge to myself. Other times I know exactly what goes in the frame when I see it. This one was the latter. #disneyprincesses #badassgirls #framedart #papercrafts #cubedudes

I've been collecting other people's artwork of the famous/infamous '66 Batman bomb scene and realized I should do my version. Luckily I found matching frames, so I could make two and keep one for myself to add to the collection. #batman #somedaysyoujustcantgetridofabomb #papercraft #framedart

I wasn't kidding about the toy fair being the last chance to pick up the 3D Proton Pack wall art. It is now hanging on my wall. It is available on Etsy now until it sells or gets too damaged to sell. cubedudescrafts.etsy.com/listing/4514... #ghostbusters #protonpack #art #wallartwork #cubedudes

I've been plugging away at restocking everything and yesterday my cutting machine just up and died. I tried resuscitating it, but it was to no avail. I was devasted... for about 10 minutes... and then I moved on and bought a new one. #cricut #papercrafts #papercraft #goodbyeoldfriend #cubedudes

I've been doing nothing but restocking since mid February. Eventually I got bored enough to multi-task while the machine was cutting. I started making some Fifth Element stones. #thefifthelement #paperprops #papercrafts #handmade #cubedudes

During a family event last month my spouse stated that if anything had a pumpkin for a head it was a "must have." For Valentines Day I tested that theory by making some of their favourites with Jack-O-Lanterns for heads. #jackolantern #jackolanterns #papertoy #pumpkinnoggins #cubedudes

I finished up the Mekaneck helmet by putting on the lenses. I spent a lot of time thinking about how to do this and ended up going with my original idea. I think it turned out great. #mekaneck #motu #paperprops #handmade #cubedudes

Once I covered the helmet in paper to colour it, it was almost ready. I'm still deciding if I want to weather it a bit. #mekaneck #motu #paperprops #handmade #cubedudes

While it would be impossible to make a one piece helmet fit as tight to the head as the action figure. I did fill in the bottom as much as I could while still being able to put it on. #Mekaneck #motu #paperprops #handmade #cubedudes

000

Cube Dudes @realcubedudes.bsky.social · 06/02/2026

All I had to do was construct the bottom of the helmet and the shape was complete. The back ended up being trickier than it should have been because it wanted to be flat, so I had to adjust some angles to make it look proper. #mekaneck #motu #paperprops #handmade #cubedudes

The goggles were next. Even though I measured them all out when drawing them out, I still ended up rebuilding one side to make them even. #mekaneck #motu #paperprops #handmade #cubedudes

The top of the helmet and goggles shaped out. I ended up trimming the front of the goggles to bring them in line with the point of the helmet like the vintage action figure. #mekaneck #motu #paperprops #handmade #cubedudes

Once I shaped out the Mekaneck helmet I realized I had to trim out some of the skull cap to ensure it wasn't going to be more huge than it was already shaping up to be. #Mekaneck #motu #paperprops #handmade #cubedudes

Now a series of process posts for the Mekaneck helmet, because who has two thumbs and needs content... 👍 THIS DUDE 👍 I started with a skull cap to make sure it fit my head. I used the top of the Bo-Katan hemet pattern from Odin Makes on YouTube. #mekaneck #helmet #paperprops #handmade #cubedudes
