We could always cuddle on the couch, mesmerizied by madmen and monsters featured within the countless devilishly delightful halloween and horror films just waiting to be watched together, but we'll see!

It's my favorite season! Not that I ever need an excuse to dress this way and watch horror movies all day, but spooky season is when it feels just right! Still hoping to be someone's renfaire romance or her date to fun fall festivities.

For anyone unfamiliar, I started a Horror Comedy series called "Slasher Support" long ago following a semi-retired slasher who helps legends & newbies alike with their day-to-day problems on the job. It got pretty popular on TikTok, but went on a long hiatus... until recently. Episode 63 is out!

Also, being single again when I'm nearly 40, asexual, a trans woman, lesbian, and single mom of a 12 year old boy with AuDHD living in Columbus, Ohio, has been an EXPERIENCE. So far it's only been chasers or people that only want to hook up. Where are the local women that want a lasting relationship

010

Alice of ReadyComicsRoll @readycomicsroll.bsky.social · 09/08/2026

I don't post here very often because it sometimes feels like I'm shouting into the void, that and I'm so often adulting while dealing with major life event after life event. I'm adjusting, evolving as a person, and trying to be more open and out there. I'm slowly getting back into being creative.

Moved to Columbus, OH a little over a year ago, but never really had the chance to try and make any new friends. I'd like to change that. If you like the following, and believe trans women are women, we should talk! - Video Games - Horror Movies - TTRPGs - MTG

Anyone going to Origins Game Fair on Thursday? First time going, taking mini-me with me, and wondering what to expect and seeing who I might run into.

Thanks to my partner, as an early Christmas gift, I got to meet, speak to, and take a picture with Weird Al! Such an amazing human being who helped shape my humor, leading to the creation of series and shorts that have entertained many, such as Slasher Support! (I can't pose right to save my life)

"Weird Al" Yankovic holding a prop axe, with a menacing look on his face. Standing opposite of Weird Al is Anthony, dressed as Belial from Slasher Support, also in mid-swing. There is handwriting on the photo that reads "Nice to beat you!" with Weird Al's signature.

It's not often that mini-me is willing to step away from his phone or my computer to play video games with me, so I cherish these rare moments, even if it's only for a single level. 🤣 Unintentional bad-ass hero pose captured by my partner, as mini-me and I play Marvel Cosmic Invasion.

Split image. Top half is of Anthony and "Mini-Me" sitting onna couch, playing video games. Bottom half is a screenshot of Marvel Cosmic Invasion, with Iron Man and Captain America in a heroic duo pose.

Almost a year has passed since moving to Columbus, Ohio and although money woes remain the same, and life leaves one feeling constantly drained, I'm still taking things a day at a time. With a great company, indirectely helping those in my community. Already promoted, so feeling good, hopeful!

A few months in, savings safety net nearly exhausted, but close to being stable. Everything is finally transfered over to Ohio, and starting my new job on May 12th. Nearly 15+ years since I haven't worked. There hasn't been a gap in time between previous jobs, so wasn't sure what to do with myself.

All these fake gamers crying about "woke" video games, because Witcher 4 and other recent announcements, acting like we've never had a female protagonist in a video game before. An entire genre started with Samus Aran and Metroid in the 80s, followed by Lara Croft and others in the 90s and beyond.

070

Alice of ReadyComicsRoll @readycomicsroll.bsky.social · 17/12/2024

You could create your own modern age of hereos and villains that tackles such issues, a world similar to The Boys tv show, or something completely original. You could even mash all of those concepts together into something truly unique.

000

Alice of ReadyComicsRoll @readycomicsroll.bsky.social · 17/12/2024

The idea of superheroes potentially being tied to government entities and the inclusion of corporations that are trying to monetize superheroism has a lot of potential issues that GMs are welcome to take advantage of and explore.

110

Alice of ReadyComicsRoll @readycomicsroll.bsky.social · 17/12/2024

- Additional equipment & support is outsourced to corporations, that develop armor, weapons, and other gadgets for hereoes. They are also responsible for the scientific breakthrough of the short-term power gain pills. Although generally trusted by the public, some question their methods and goals.

000

Alice of ReadyComicsRoll @readycomicsroll.bsky.social · 17/12/2024

- There is a very experimental pill that does provide a single, basic superpower, like super strength, but it only lasts a few hours and after you take it you can't take another for at least 2 weeks. Taking one before the 2 weeks, or multiple pills at once results in horrific, often fatal outcomes

100

Alice of ReadyComicsRoll @readycomicsroll.bsky.social · 17/12/2024

- Other than accidents that randomly bestow powers, being able to replicate and give normal people superpowers is extremely difficult.

100

Alice of ReadyComicsRoll @readycomicsroll.bsky.social · 17/12/2024

- Government heroes work similar to police, with centralized locations they report to and are dispatched from, but are also trained for community aid, not just law enforcement.

100

Alice of ReadyComicsRoll @readycomicsroll.bsky.social · 17/12/2024

Springboarding off of this, wanted to share a little worldbuilding within my Superhero TTRPG. - Superheroes can either work for their respective governments or be "freelance". Freelancers have a little more operational freedom than government heroes, but no pay & don't have as many protections.

110

Alice of ReadyComicsRoll @readycomicsroll.bsky.social · 17/12/2024

Near the end of the month, still no home secured, little $ to my name, with 38 job applications submitted and 10 rejections so far. Cutting things much closer than I feel comfortable with, and REALLY hoping I get a callback for an interview soon. 😔

010

Alice of ReadyComicsRoll @readycomicsroll.bsky.social · 17/12/2024

One of the coolest things about designing TTRPGs from scratch is that you're only the tiniest step away from nigh infinite possibilities! Want to make a Superhero TTRPG? You can also create - comics, animated series, video games, novels, etc. AND have them all tie into one another!

It's rare that I get to be a Duelist, but when I do... I'm on demon time with Iron Fist, with Psylocke as backup. My hands are rated E for Everyone, with even Vanguards unsure of their safety with my flurry of blows!
