Genuinely, this is a great idea. My wife and I just avoided seeing this because of the runtime. We saw Backrooms instead, which was still good and 90 minutes. We'll catch this one in the privacy of our own home, maybe over the course of a few days.

Not sure if it suffocated, but it was effectively neutralized insofar as it wasn't going anywhere and was easily disposed of after that. This was a bigger tick, though. Not engorged, but definitely not a nymph. That's a good idea regarding the lice!

#ChaosChat A2. My SciFi WIP isn't different, but my MG Fantasy WIP has some different birthday traditions, more centered around rites of passage. For instance, children have naming traditions where they determine their name and how they'd like to be referred to once they figure things out.

A1. I don't remember if my characters celebrate their birthdays (maybe in my MG Fantasy WIP), but I love the idea of the understated, after-the-fact birthday realization. Like the characters are captured, bound to chairs back-to-back, and one is like, "Hey, you know it's my birthday?" #ChaosChat
