Behold. My ridiculous Maine Coon cat, named Mal, who was once grey and fluff is now grey and shorn again. Freshly shaven catto with fluffy tail for your enjoyment.

Top of pic is the before of a grey Maine Coon, fluffy and unhappy at the groomers.
Bottom pic is the same Maine Coon after his grooming, his tail still fluffy but the rest of him shorn. He is still unhappy, but not going to have mats for a good long while.
His name is Mal and he says his name instead of a meow like a regular cat. Loveable weirdo.

Excited to be at a Broadway show for the first time since OC Hamilton.

For my MSLIS internship I worked on a finding aid for Bill Bordeau, all I knew walking in was he was the head of the theater department at MMC. Turns out he was a literal card carrying member of the National Gay Task Force, what became the National LGBTQ Task force. His card:

A photograph of two pieces of related ephemera: A letter with the letterhead, "National Gay Task Force", the address of their headquarters in New York City, the board officers (Frances Doughty, David Rothenberg) and Executive Director, (Bruce Voeller, Ph. D.). Written by hand in blue ink in the middle of the page is,

"Bill -
With our compliments. " and Initials B(V) at the signature line.
There is a tag line beneath in the footer which says in black font, "It's time."

On top of the letter is a business card, with a styalized "it's time" on the side decoratively. Hand-written is the name "J. William Bordeau" followed by printed, "is a Charter Member of The National Gay Task Force." Beneath which are the names of the founders of the Task Force (Howard Brown, MD; Gregory Dawson; Ronald Gold; Thomas Rockhill; Thomas Smith; Bruce Voeller, Ph. D."

The Caesar salad, interestingly, was not named for Julius. It was named for Caesar Cardini who created it at his Tijuana restaurant, Caesar's, in 1924.

Caesar's adopted son, Octavius, had been named his sole heir. Octavius heard of his father's death and returned to Rome, becoming Gaius Julius Caesar Octavianus, or Octavian. Octavian would go on to become Emperor Augustus in 27 BCE.
