This whole question came about because I saw a post about tropes, and then tried thinking what applied to my book. Like, I don’t think I’d advertise it as ‘slow burn’, but in some contexts it definitely could be considered that. (Though I think my extended word count also lends itself to that!)

It really depends on the people she’s surrounded by/environment she’s in. With her family she shrinks away and freezes, but with the new family she makes they make her feel safe and confident, so she’s more likely to stand up for herself or take action. #writingcommunity #writingq #amwriting #wip
