While I'm sure your ideas, although obviously not original, are tied to idealist concepts, they ultimately don't make it off the page and have be proven to be bad ideas.

At least you tried to study it! Keep it up! I would say this is even more basic economics than that.

Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
No, it's literally the definition of value. I see you are so very stupid as to not be able to make any point without resorting to the name-calling of a 5 year old.

Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
Suggestion of solutions, lmao. I suggest you are being disingenuous.

I would say the comedy was lacking. Have you done the most basic historical research of socialism? I would guess that what you would prefer is actually a social democracy.

Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
Wow, you missed the whole point. You are deciding that something is sexist based on market value. How are you determining what the "real" value is? Ironically, by artificially inflating some people you are disadvantaging others.

Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
Lmao, it's not an opinion, you can literally look it up, probably on the government website!

What does this have to do with water usage?
100
Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
No, it's literally how the world works. It's easier for people to think that people who are "higher up" than them don't just provide more value.

Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
Have you thought that maybe it is a genuine question.

Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
That's a sort of lazy analysis, humans are a species with greed, it's an evolutionary trait as it is beneficial. Our current society has money as a way to transact. Enlightenment is acquiring knowledge based on criticism as opposed to a call to authority.

You sound like an AI, literally no intake of new information. You didn't even read what I said, probably because it's counter to your narrative.

Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
Please, look up the cost of a launch for NASA pre and post SpaceX and see how many billions of dollars it is saving that state.

Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
Can you prove this? Pretty sure the algorithm is open source, so should be possible for you to do.

Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
Do you understand that where something is from does not dictate its efficacy? You miss the central point, who determines who is underpaid and how do they have a better metric for attributing value than the market? There are better ways to help people than interfering in market pricing. Tax etc.

Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
That's an extremely lazy and non-productive suggestion
100
Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
That's not really a suggestion
100
Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
What do you suggest?

Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
This is not something to celebrate. Who is determining the value of someone's work? We have something called the market which already determines value. If there is an opportunity for value, the market will do this. If someone needs support, you do not do this by artificially fixing wages.

Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
Tbh, none of what you said makes any sense or is at all relevant to my reply.

You have a pretty big experiment in the USSR. Just think through it logically as well, what has afforded you modern life, the computer you're using? Have you been to any of these post-communist countries, Romania, Russia, spoken to people? Research modern social democracies good system examples.

Every state is under attack, this is not unique. Check history.

What happened? I use it.

You realise people voluntarily give other people money because they provide value to them. You are proposing a system where some central authority determines the value of everything, that is insane, and also proven to be a terrible idea. The website you're using is a copy of a billion dollar idea.

Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
It's still better than communism
100
Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
Nah, this site is way more of a bubble, I use both.

Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
Government invests in what will benefit society. You don't get the money back directly, it creates goods and services. If the gov subsidises farming, the farmer doesn't give you 10% of every turnip, you get cheaper / more reliable produce.

Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
You realise how the economy works? It's demand created by the market, you're creating that demand right now by using this website.

Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
This is dumb, data centres are among the highest value per unit emissions. Why are you not calling for higher emissions industries to be stopped? You realise you're using a DC right now?

Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
Do these posts actually achieve anything? Wouldn't it be better to propose solutions?
100
Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
Data centres are probably some of the highest value per unit investment.
000
Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
Because they believe it's undervalued?

These people only look at inputs, not outputs.

You're complaining about government contracts? Do you know what the contracts were for and how much Musk's companies saved the taxpayer? Look at cost of launching rockets pre and post SpaceX.

X has like 10x more users btw, also BlueSky is a massive bubble. I use both sites.

AI is the new electricity
100
Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
Have you used AI to code? It's the norm now, it would be detrimental to not using, like using pen and paper instead of a computer.
200
Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 17/08/2026
You have no idea about coding, this is the norm and the future. You are calling for a ban on tractors so people can continue tilling the fields. It would actually be unethical to make people do all this boilerplate work which can now be automated. Please stop using a computer, go back to writing.

Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 17/08/2026
That already happens, these are for training and running AI models in a large part.

Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 17/08/2026
One is for recreation, one is productive. The website you're using is coded using LLMs, the moderation no doubt is done with LLMs.

@environmentalfest.bsky.social do you know of any similar organisations for games? I've built a game to teach people about nature and get them outside. Link: playanimalis.com

Just try coding yourself, you obviously haven't. I have made an app within two hours that people started using it would take days otherwise. Sorry, but you have no idea what you're talking about.
100
Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 17/08/2026
You realise people have been arguing against new technology for hundreds of years. You are the equivalent of someone being anti-railroads in the 1800's. AI and internet are not separate, this app is coded using AI, the algorithm runs on it, no doubt moderation is done using it.

Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 17/08/2026
You're using a data centre right now. The market determines value. By using this product, BlueSky, you are increasing its value.

Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 17/08/2026
I did not say it is energy, it's an analogy.

Firstly, are they being built in secret? Probably because public perception does not align with reality. Note, you're using a data centre right now. They are equivalent to the railroads of the 1800's.

Robert @rcwhiteley.bsky.social · 17/08/2026
China has 4x ppm pollution than the US lol. You realise AI is the new energy, if the US falls behind China, it has massive economic and defence implications. Plus much of the data centre narrative misinformation is from China itself, do the calculations yourself.

It's the market, Anthropic is one of the fastest growing revenue companies of all time. Your head is in the sand. Human calculators worked perfectly well before computers were invented, you're being a luddite.
