First-year students did pretty damn well on a practical task evaluation that usually trips up lots of them, and I had a nanosecond-long feeling of accomplishment, followed by a day-long feeling that they had figured out how to get an AI to do it.

A screenshot of a text message with text:

(2/4) getting really fucking sick of you talking to people about shit that you have no idea about. oh, and you may have went to an art
(3/4) school and learned about fucking painting but you have absolutely no right at all to call me or andrew, or anyone for that matter, out
(4/4) for not going to school sara. if you have a problem with me, talk to me. and i'm sure you know who it is now.

My neighbor told me Houthis keep shooting down his F-15s so I asked how many F-15s he has and he said he just goes to the Americans and gets a new F-15 afterwards so I said it sounds like he's just feeding F-15 to Houthis and then his daughter started crying.

Guidepost was not the first school chain that Mr. Girn had run at an unsustainable pace. Back in 2003, when Mr. Girn, a Canadian native, was a psychology and philosophy student at the University of Toronto, a friend suggested he come work at a school in Orange County called LePort Montessori. It was founded by a wealthy bariatric surgeon, Peter LePort, who sat on the board of the Ayn Rand Institute. Mr. Girn had no formal training in education, but he ran a Rand-focused club on campus. That was enough for Mr. LePort, who hired him to help start a new elementary school.

Not saying I'm procrastinating, but I just did the dive table calculations for the song "The Mary Ellen Carter." Based on the song's 3 dives a day at 60 feet, 1 hour bottom time and evenly spaced surface intervals would have allowed the guy to avoid the bends, with no decompression stops.
