It's maddening, the needless complexity added to the lives of thousands—tens of thousands?—of software professionals, having to quadruple our app (and maybe website) work for a device that only the rich will ever use. It's a shame. The folding format feels so natural. But not like this. 3/3

They nailed the fancy faux-transparency open/close animation, but f'kd up the basic tab bars that have been there since 2007?! Basic navigation UI vary wildly by the device orientation? Designers/developers now have to support six new dimensions and play out best practices? 2/3
