to fully appreciate Chris Nolan's take on the Odyssey I've been reading the original

The cover of One Piece chapter 679, featuring Luffy in the foreground looking real mad, and the faces of a lot of other characters in the background, also mad

just, a people displaced and robbed of their land by a supposedly religiously motivated group... (spoilers for chapters 256 and 274)

Two men arguing—

One is wearing vaguely 'tribal' clothes and tattoos, visibly upset as he shouts to the other "[...] If you want to the fighting to end, return everything to us!! Don't tell me youve forgotten what your people have done to the shandians over the generations?!! It's too late for coexistence!!"

The other man, much older with a long white beard ('god'-coded) is calmly responding that he "cannot return everything" as people have come to rely on [the land] and "we simply cannot take it from those who are blameless"

The old man from the first picture, in a later scene, asking himself in his palace "Are we... the evil ones?" as an adviser urges hims to stop worrying. Old man replies "They just want their homeland back. But our properous life on Skypiea is only possible because 400 years ago our ancestors took over upper yard."

not going to use the hashtag because the point is absolutely not to showcase that I, a white boy with a beard and a tattooed arm wearing black and white clothes, am also "what a gamedev looks like" (you don't say) but! here have a look at this cool little photo anyway

photo of me from the back, walking across a bridge in Japan – the post describes what I look like with painful accuracy

Two pictures of the same lemon pig, lookibg already decrepit, his mouth opened in a tortured groan with the coin dropped below him, his belly all moldy

say hi to my beautiful son, the almond-winged, bean-eyed prince of lemonpigland. he may look like an eerily human face on sticks; yet he remains placid and focused on his royal duty to cradle the coin

a 'lemon-pig' with coffee beans for eyes and almonds inserted on top to serve as flimsy wings; however, the cuts in the lemon that should form ears look weirdly like eyebrows, giving the whole a weirdly creepy vibe

You can't be serious? the chainsaw man guy has watched material of a pornographic nature? the same man whose main protagonist is a teen for whom 'getting to touch boobs' is the primary motivation?? the same genius mind who has his characters transform into *this* for some reason??? surely you jest

'Bomb Demon', a character with a bomb head, wearing clothes that amount to little more than underwear, in a battle pose

I confess I am not immune to vain-posting and can be prone to shameful displays of sentimentality so I hope you will excuse my self-indulgently sharing photos of me and my *gasp* *heart eyes* *faint* w i f e

Me standing on a pebble path in a Japanese garden, facing the camera, slightly to the left of the photo. I am wearing a black suit with a sash tied around my waist, the knot is on my right side.

Wide photo of my partner and me looking at each other. We are standing in front of a traditional Japanese teahouse, somewhat far from the photographer; on the foreground is a pond. I am wearing the same suit, she is wearing a long, white wedding dress, with lace resembling branches and leaves.

PS ok to share :) PS+ you might not know my current profile pic, but maybe you're more familiar with this lil face:

Really cool initiative (from a really cool dev) to show some solidarity for itch and help them put out fires... so they can go back to improving their tools and safety for queer creators. Setting here: itch.io/user/setting... (Sharing with johnnemann's permission because he's not on here!)

Discord message from johnnemann: "Hey, I don't know how many people on here have been following the stuff going on with Itch and their payment processors, or how many people have games on Itch. I've just decided to make my revenue share on Itch 100% to them for a while, in solidarity. I'm hoping maybe some other devs will join me in this"

attn. to the 12 people who happen to also fall within the extremely specific overlap of my two current obsessions: look at what @robomachin.bsky.social made

I wanted to do a shout-out to this cute little guy on here! I changed my profile pic a while ago, but never got to say anything about it. I still love him (& the little sparkles ✨) but I'm in a new era! Drawn by @oliviahns.bsky.social; the new one is by @mcskirt.bsky.social. Go follow them both :)

Cute drawing of me with a pink-cyan gradient; there are little sparkles around my face. The nose is shaped like a heart.
