“I wanna show you the new world, Carl. I wanna make it a reality for you. Please, Carl, lemme show you…” I’m at a point in my life where I feel confident that 6x09 of The Walking Dead is one of the best episodes of television, ever. (Obviously 6x10 changed the game, but it’s different)

😂 Whew, this gave me a much needed chuckle this morning. Shoutout to rhe #Michonne mob 💪🏾 Mind you, this is on the 219th “Michonne abandoned her kids” post.

AU #Richonne Ficlet: In my mind, Rick and Michonne love to take trips just the two of them and Michonne is just not used to someone wanting to take care of her in this way.

R @rblythe08.bsky.social · 15/03/2025

😂😂😂😂 I’m so obsessed with the fact that their response to this persons perceived lack of chemistry between Rick and Michonne was, “Aren’t they together in real life?” Mind you, no… but I too thought this was true and was spreading it around for over a month. THAT’S HOW GOOD THE CHEMISTRY IS.

I didn’t even read the article, just got excited that they had the apropro big 3 in the cover photo 😂 When I say it’s the little things, this is what I mean. Should Michonne have been in the middle? Yes, but imma let that slide. ew.com/how-to-watch...

Ok, so I thought Dead City Season 2 was already airing with all the promo I feel like I’ve been seeing - you mean to tell me it’s not even out yet?! I gotta stop scrolling so fast and see what the hellllll people are posting about.

Since I watched #TOWL first, right after I finished it, the first episode I ever watched of TWD was 6x10. I remember messaging my friend and being like, “Oh my gawd, do this Daryl person and Jesus person end up together too?!” The “no” I received set the tone of my entire relationship with Daryl.

One of the most FASCINATING things about Michonne within The Walking Dead fandom is that she is an overwhelmingly liked character. UNTIL You talk about her and Rick. You talk about her as a mother figure. You rank her above the other women. So she can fight with/for your fave - but that’s it? Ok.

R @rblythe08.bsky.social · 25/02/2025

You know, I want to be mad about this, but after The Acolyte, I am conflicted. The way these Black characters are treated like shit with no support and then get cancelled or discarded is not ok. Maybe it’s better that Danai only taps in occasionally.

So, as always, Lori is not alive in this fic and I was going to do a car crash again but I couldn’t get my back into it and went another route. I almost changed it back three times, because it felt too dramatic, but I’m too deep to turn it around now 😂

R @rblythe08.bsky.social · 10/02/2025

I am trying to figure out what kind of person would do this 😭 We’ve all read fics that weren’t the best fit for us, but why would you ever need to tell someone who spent hours, days, weeks, or years, writing about media they LOVED for free - that you didn’t like it? Miserable humans, honestly.

030

R @rblythe08.bsky.social · 07/02/2025

They ask - is TWOL any good? I respond with all the reasons they may not like it. They come back with the fact that they like TWD and Rick 🤦🏾‍♀️ So now, I know by end of day there’s gonna be post about how disappointed they are about not getting a Daryl hug. I cannnnnot with TWD fans. Cannot.

R @rblythe08.bsky.social · 04/02/2025

Come to find out, one of the ways I’m coping with the world continuing to collapse is by starting a list of fics that I want to read, but don’t see myself writing. BY CHANCE, is anyone realizing their coping mechanism is taking fic requests and writing 30k slow burn AU?

Can someone just tell me if Danai wins her Saturn award? After my behavior over the Interview with the Vampire nominations, it’s clear I’m not built for the letdowns that come with monitoring award shows.

Just saw a conversation where Canadians are talking about cancelling their AMC+ subscriptions but they want to make sure AMC still has money to still put out Interview with the Vampire. I want to assure you all, The Walking Dead - Magazine of Aaron would come out with two seasons - they’re FINE 😭

R @rblythe08.bsky.social · 30/01/2025

The fact that you can schedule posts in Tumblr is so nice. I scheduled five ficlets the other day and completely forgot, so it’s a bit of a surprise and delight too 😂

So I just want everyone to know that when I don’t update my Richonne fic, it is 9/10 times because I put on TWD or TOWL to rewatch a scene and then got caught up in episodes. It’s never my fault, it’s always the distraction of the episode.

My Grimes Family AU ficlets just get more and more random. I swear I have this man at the grocery store all the time 😆 I forgot I made this one, and only remembered because I was scrolling through my pictures and was like, “Why do I have this popcorn pic…?!” Oh right, nonsense 😂

You knowwww, I would only have this conversation over here, but I do think it’s wild that they called that show Daryl Dixon. I know the others started with a duo, but if the original idea was to have her, even after a break - how did they get there? Am I missing lore here?

Yes, according to the schedule I made up in my mind, I was supposed to post an update on my AU #Richonne fic today. HOWEVER, instead I am rewatching #TOWL and talking to myself about the episodes like I haven’t already had these conversations with myself. Blame Netty.

I just want to provide the Netflix description as reference material so that when people start saying things like, “No Daryl/Negan reunion?”, “I thought this was going to be about the CRM.”, “I didn’t expect it to be a romance.” We can all be on the same page that the plot of #TOWL was not hidden.

I probably need to start labeling these AU Grimes Family Ficlets : It’s a Snow Day ❄️ Rick can be fun, when the fun is explained first. (And, if you’re in the Atlanta area and don’t have to be out - please be like the Grimes family. Engage in snow day behavior and stay off the roads)

I started writing fanfiction to get more comfortable writing things other than dialog because I wanted to write a book. Cut to two years later and I’m still writing other people’s characters more than my own 😩😭. I blame myself, but after these two I’m revoking my ao3 access until I finish.

R @rblythe08.bsky.social · 05/01/2025

AU #Richonne Ficlet : Rick normally surprises Michonne with art supplies and takeout from restaurants they’ve been meaning to try. He went for flowers today and got a little help from Carl & their friends. (Full transparency, I don’t know if I can picture Rick on Instagram, BUT, just for funsies 😂)
