In #AcademicSky news from my old institution, the Auburn board will vote to dissolve the University Senate today. This is, of course, a travesty. It is also completely predictable given that state. I am again warning anyone who has a choice that you should avoid working for red state boards.

One of the fun parts of building a new research lab is scavenging the old vacuum hardware on campus to see if you strike gold (i.e. stainless steel) that you can use. Other times you find something very unexpected. Take a guess at what's behind the front panel. Answer in next post. 🧪⚛️
