quite surprised I only know /one/ ecommerce store that used Amazon logistics instead of USPS, UPS, Fedex, DHL, Ontrac, etc. But also very pleasantly surprised I was able to change the delivery date completely painlessly. No payment or address verification, just identity verification. I like that.

Honestly I left my previous job before it became very widespread. There was already updates to company policy at the time allowing its use though But from what I've heard, it's very very much impacted, basically inescapable for dev-related teams at any prominent or high tech company

Definitely not worthless. It's made enough of an impact, and used in enough places, that it's here to stay. People in (tech) industry can be surprisingly pessimistic about their own role, organization, or industry as a whole.

All they listen to are pitch decks and it sounded great since they didn't understand the underlying tech It makes me start to appreciate when people told me when I started college to do dual major or have multi disciplinary expertise. Much of the reality is multiple fields intermingling.

It's just an interesting dichotomy working in (and having friends in) the tech and finance world. There's such a chasm between what each group knows and perceives. To the techy: most tech is cobbled together and financial things are a sham To the financiers: it's nuanced, but tech is magic

On top of that, financial markets are interesting glimpse into psychology and behavioral economics. Namely in this case, with the vast majority anticipating an AI bubble, the usual result ends up being .... No a bubble.
