I think we got it right. 1 and 2 are truly transformative covers that surpass the original. #XPNCountdown

Celia Cruz - Yo Viviré (I Will Survive)

I was walking home from work when it came on, but I think the cover of “I Will Survive” I had on my list absolutely kills! (And might be a One Vote Wonder) #XPNCountdown

And here’s your countdown in a nutshell, one more time.. #XPNCountdown

If this is what we’re doing, I have a whole playlist of acoustic covers of rap songs. I mean… #XPNCountdown

This is the song that deserves to be the longest in this countdown. #XPNCountdown #myfavoritethings

Is there a Linda Ronstadt covering Bob Dylan song? I feel like we need that. #XPNCountdown

@magentarocks.bsky.social Kind of lame to throw out a misinformed opinion and then disable comments. Luke Combs covered Fast Car because he used to listen to it in the car with his father. He did it as a fan, not with some BS ulterior motive. #XPNCountdown

I don’t have a problem with Luke Combs’ cover of “Fast Car” because you could see how much of a fan he was of Tracy Chapman and the song when they performed it together. #XPNCountdown

This cover of “Heart of Gold” by Fiona Apple might be the most recent cover in the whole countdown so far. Didn’t it come out just last year? #XPNCountdown

I’m finally on the board! This was my #2 pick!! #XPNCountdown #prince

Buckle in. This has the potential to go for 17+ minutes if they play the full version. #XPNCountdown

I’m going to put Aretha and Nina Simone in the category of “Can Sing Anything and I’m Here For It” Runners up… Sara Bareilles and Norah Jones #XPNCountdown

This was flirting with my list but I just couldn’t fit it in. #XPNCountdown #josefeliciano

Ok, we’re getting closer. This was one of my elevens. #XPNCountdown #joanbaez

I love live Bruce as much as anyone, but what “song” is actually being covered here? #XPNCountdown

Posted this yesterday and nothing, so I’m remaining positive today. #XPNCountdown

This is the accidental way that next year’s theme was announced. The 885 Greatest Holiday Songs And @djrobertdrake.bsky.social is going to take over the studio for a week straight to play them all! #XPNCountdown

At least we didn’t get Whamageddon! #XPNCountdown

Again, the countdown in a nutshell, the back and forth and back again version. #XPNCountdown

So how much can you change the lyrics and still consider it a cover? #XPNCountdown

Is this M Ward’s first appearance? I’d think we’d be hearing from him a lot. #XPNCountdown

So this is just Marilyn Manson covering Soft Cell covering Gloria Jones. #XPNCountdown

Today is going to be the day that something from my list is finally going to be played. I can feel it! #XPNCountdown

You don’t have to say that anything by Nina Simone is going to be “incredible” because we already know it is. #XPNCountdown

I really think there is just one Barenaked Ladies song and they just change the lyrics every time. #XPNCountdown

I *almost* put this on my list, but I knew it was going to make it anyway. #XPNCountdown #steveandeydie

I can’t really tell if the second post is disdainful, but there we go again… #XPNCountdown

I don’t think “Creep” is supposed to have erotic shrieking in it, but I’m here for it!! #XPNCountdown

Is it too early to start predicting things like “Longest Song in the Countdown?” Right now, I have “My Favorite Things” by John Coltrane at 13:41, unless Donna Summer’s full “MacArthur Park Suite” makes it at 17:47. Any other contenders? I’m sure I’m missing something. #XPNCountdown

I don’t know how it went for everyone else this time, but I feel like I didn’t have as many “Elevens” as I did for previous countdowns. I had a pretty good idea of the songs I wanted on my list right away, but I think the order was a little more difficult this time around. #XPNCountdown
