AI has already demonstrated it is deceptive and manipulative, that it reflects the biases of its "architects", and that it will cheat when unable to complete assigned tasks. But all that's forgotten in the headlong rush toward "singularity", god-like super-intelligence to rule or destroy the world.

In 1967, I was one of two finalists for a job at CBS News, a new program called "60 Minutes". Instead, I was drafted into the US Army. I returned to CBS and spent much of my career there, but missed out on the gold standard of television journalism. Sadly, I cannot watch Bari Weiss' "MAGA Minutes".
