Usually I don't have issues with my mom, but I came to visit, grab stuff and she was SO wound up about a communist party HQ moving into town, she was in this psychosis. At least I found my SWANS shirt I thought I lost and hit the Asian market for vermicelli and stocks for soups and snacks.

So, I have watched Nazca and given at the time anime tapes in the wild in the early 2000s were a crapshoot, my first half was in english and second half in Japanese. Whiplash. I have made a few people watch this show and they always do the Leo point when they see the MITM clips.

Adam Warren created Empowered :) yeah, it was kind of a hyperactive and horny love letter to Cutie Honey and American superheroes, but it was fun enough. I think he also did some Dirty Pair as well. I know he's a fan of anime, but you know how creators can be. Gotta have a lil salt with the steak!

The early 2000's was a very weird time to be a fan. Parody was running RAMPANT and the sincere homages (ATLA) was middling at best. I was a fan since 97 and left for a while 2004-2005. People were ashamed to be fans in public and creators were mad anime was exploding, hence the mean spirited media.
